LOVED walking around and exploring this Barnes and noble location. Reminded me of my love for reading and also was great inspiration for gift giving. Didn’t love that the workers stared and followed us as we explored; would’ve been nice to be greeted at least; found that aspect of this visit to be unsettling and made me want to leave. It was a nice little stop to warm up before heading to the movies though!

Great book selection and nice paper/journal section. The physical space is a little messy me could use some attention to detail.

This Barnes location took over the previously occupied tenants Tom's Price furniture. Unlike other Barnes locations, the layout is somewhat odd. As other have mentioned, books are crammed in the shelves, and I find myself wandering aisle by aisle to locate something. The location was supposed to be a temporary one. Question is, when will a cafe be opened? Seems odd that a bookstore doesn't have a place to sit down and read books.

It's definitely not a bad spot to look for just about any book one might need. I am glad they reopened and it's in a good spot so will for sure be back to buy some books.

I just preferred the old layout/building, but again that is just my opinion. I couldn't really find any staff working to ask for a certain book, but no big deal. The store is very large and that is good and bad in my opinion. I will still frequent the smaller stores when I can unless I need something specific then will come to Barnes & Noble.

This is a bare bones Barnes and Noble. Minimalist but lots of books which is great. No cafe. A few seats. Plenty of parking in Old Orchard. It isn't anywhere near as much fun as the old one it has replaced, but I'm glad there is still a Barnes and Noble nearby. I picked up a few books on Buddhism which I could find anywhere else. Glad I visited..

I'm on the fence with this. Typically Barnes and Nobles would be a solid 5 stars for me but...after waiting nearly two years for this new location to open my initial reaction was "meh." Two levels, the lower one dedicated to paper products. The upper level dedicated to books etc. The layout is interesting the way the stacks are arranged. It seems there isn't a huge selection in each genre but enough of the popular titles.

There is no Starbucks at this location nor any kind of coffee shop.

The sale associates were helpful though the manager's customer service left a lot to be desired.

I have to admit it's nothing like the original store. I feel it lacks the ambience the other locations have. It's nice but I'd rather trek across town to the Toughy location.

Me and my daughter went here after coming back from Evanston visiting my mother-in-law. "Absolute W" of a store she says. I loved the excellent historical section and bought some amazing books I am itching to read. The large collection of children's books greatly entertained the kid and gave us both a fantastic time. The small collection of Spanish-language books was also nice for picking up books to read with her abuela. Overall 5/5 definitely will come back in the future.
