I am finishing my first full year of scene study with Todd Babcock. What an incredible and enjoyable ride it’s been! I was referred to Babcock Studios by another actor whom I’d taken acting classes with elsewhere. My desire was/is to grow and with the help of Todd, he is providing me with the tools to accomplish my goals as an actor. Babcock Studios delivers. Each scene study class I have taken, Todd painstakingly thinks through each scene beforehand and what he has in mind for MY growth as an actor. He will challenge you (in a caring and concerned way)! We generally do our scenes once, get feedback and perform the scene again the following week or next. This is where the magic happens.
Todd is an accomplished and talented actor. It is such a privilege to learn from someone who has been there. Not to mention he truly cares for each person in class. I personally feel respected and appreciated. Highly recommend!

Having attended Babcock Studios for a year, I highly recommend whether you’re new or have experience. Todd is very knowledgeable about the industry and supportive. He will help you grow and develop skills at your individual pace. The environment is very genuine and uplifting. Throughout scene study I have faced many challenges, as Todd consistently gives us new challenges to help us progress in our learning and work, and become more confident in our ability. Which I am so grateful for!
Risks are encouraged, so you can step out of your comfort zone! Taking risks has helped me to expand my creative skills, see different aspects of my acting abilities, and has even led to some breakthroughs. Watching others perform in the studio is incredibly motivating and inspiring. It's been wonderful to meet other actors, see their perspectives, and learn about the techniques they use.
Babcock Studios offers infinite learning opportunities. Kassie is also super helpful and kind! She’s an excellent coordinator by keeping track of everything and emailing. Spending time at the studio is nothing short of amazing. The experiences, growth, and connections I’ve made here are unforgettable.

If you’re looking for acting classes in the Denver area, you will not find a better place than Babcock Studios. I’ve been in Todd’s scene study class for over two years now and not only have I grown in ways I never thought imaginable, both as an actor and as a person, but I have also watched every single one of my classmates do the same. The studio is such a safe, inviting, and supportive space and Todd is an amazing teacher. He's so gifted at pinpointing what each actor can improve on--as well as what each actor shines at--and assigns scenes that truly make me feel some level of growth each week. I can’t recommend this place enough. If you become a part of Babcock Studios you will have friends, family, and endless support for life.

Babcock Studios is AMAZING. I was nervous before my first class, but a lot of those nerves went away after Todd told us Babcock Studios' motto - mess up early and mess up often. Your classmates are there to support you. It is a safe space to learn, and messing up can be the best way to learn. This is 100% true within each class at the studio, which makes it a lot easier to learn and feel comfortable performing. On top of that, the Babcock Studios community is so welcoming and makes it easy to make new friends. I have made so many close friends in my Scene Study class. Going to class is the best part of my week.

I joined the studio over a year ago with a small amount of acting experience, and now feel confident I will be able to switch to acting as a career. The style of acting that is taught is intuitive, and the way you receive feedback on your performances is fun, respectful, and helpful. I took Fundamentals+ with Todd and am currently in Scene Study with Kim. Todd and Kim are incredibly talented, passionate, and enthusiastic teachers. They care a lot about their students and give each class their all. The studio classes, rehearsal times, and events are superbly organized by Kassie.

In addition to learning at the studio, you will have plenty of opportunities to work on films since many of the studio members are working on their own film projects. The studio also helps put together a film fest each summer and anyone in the studio can partake. You split off into groups of 6-8, make a short 15 minute film in three weeks with your group, and then watch all of the films. Last year we had 10 teams and it was an absolute blast.

To me, there are two things that makes Babcock Studios stand out compared to other programs in the area. First is the sense of community cultivated under Todd Babcock. He has spent every year since opening this studio creating a place where actors can not only come to grow and improve their acting skills, but can also be introduced to like-minded individuals who have the same passion and desire to create. The second thing is the sentiment that there is always another a level to be achieved. Whether it's in regards to the emotional level and actor is feeling during their scene, or to state of the studio as a whole, Babcock Studios is a place that is constantly evolving and pushing its members to do the same. None of that happens without leadership who is committed to making it happen, and that's what you get with Todd. Not only has he spent years in LA actually being an actor and experiencing this industry first hand, but he is now devoting himself to sharing his knowledge with his students and helping to grow and create the future of acting and film making in Denver!

I've been attending Babcock Studios for a few years now, and with each class, I feel more confident in my craft. I can't recommend this studio enough—it's truly exceptional! Growth! I grew so much at Babcock Studios. I came in trying to gain confidence in my public speaking and was bitten by the acting bug. Was I nervous? Yes! But my amazing teacher, Kim, provided me a safe space to connect with myself in a way I never have before.
