I can't speak highly enough of Amy Andaverde, the primary flight instructor for Arizona Active Air. She exudes all of the qualities of a gifted instructor - energy, enthusiasm, patience, and positivity - despite the often sweltering flying conditions of Yuma.

Amy was pivotal to my rotary to fixed wing transition, preparing me for a commercial single engine add on rating as well as an instrument add on rating. Her knowledge and structured approach to training will prepare you for any phase of flight training you seek.

Arizona Active Air is, in my opinion, the best flight training experience that I could have ever hoped for. It is operated by honest, intelligent, and good willed people who want to see you succeed. Ed Whitehead and Az Active Air have nothing but my highest personal recommendation. This is a great place to learn and truly exceeded all of my expectations.
