My son took "Advanced Topics" (Calculus 3) his senior year and didn't like the way the teacher explained the subject matter. No other teacher at the school taught the course, so when some units became too hard to tackle on his own, we resorted to APEX Tutoring. We were immediately paired with a tutor who could handle the topic, but the day of the arranged meeting, he cancelled citing personal reasons. Daniel DuBrow immediately stepped in. We provided samples of the problems and Daniel came prepared. If some problem presented difficulty, he stayed longer without charging or went home, worked on it and sent the solution and explanation to my son as soon as he had it. He was conscious of time limitations when tests were coming and was also flexible to adapt to the busy schedule of an athlete High School student during his sport season. When a meeting in person couldn't be scheduled, he offered a video session. If he found some other solution after the session, he emailed it. In short, he was professional in his dealings, efficient in his teaching and extremely fair in charging only for the time spent teaching.
