I was just wondering if you guys sell bookbinding tools at your Academy? Not to worried about it though because I know you’ll have everything there for the courses. I’m looking to sign up for a couple courses in the near future and was simply wondering if you do or not. If not then where does the Academy purchase its tools from? I’m extremely excited to sign up.

I just completed the weeklong Level 1 bookbinding course at AAB, and it was FANTASTIC!
I’ve taken a couple of “crafty” classes in making a handmade journal and ‘hard cover’ book, and I wanted more of “how to do it right!” This course from AAB provided the step-by-step “best practices,” and how to go from a soft cover pamphlet to case bound (hardcover!) book(s) in a logical, precise manner in the most spectacular historic building in beautiful Telluride, CO!
The experience I felt when I completed our first pamphlet was this awe in, “I actually ‘easily!’ created a book!” And this was only magnified when we completed our first “actual” hardcover book—you can only imagine the feeling!
From the school’s director to our teacher and her assistant (check out the website), the academy’s expertise is tremendous, but equally so is the staff’s warmth and heart! They all LOVE books and bookbinding I can’t say enough about what an amazing experience this week was! Thank you Katy, Lang, and Brenda!
