I worked with a career coach at Ama La Vida for 7 months. Progress was slow as molasses with no real results. At month 6, my coach quit. We had made no real progress at this point. I was then moved to a different coach who was friendly but disorganized. After a month with the new coach, I decided to cut my losses and stop my career coaching with Ama La Vida. Overall, I found their career coaching provided no real benefit. It was also quite pricey.

I can't say enough good things about my coach Cait Swamy and the ALV team. Not only was Cait always so kind and welcoming, but she really listened. She was 100% focused on me and my goals which I really appreciated since sometimes that's not the case. She really is a gem of a person and a truly incredible coach! And whenever I needed assistance with my account the ALV team was always super responsive, helpful and kind. Honestly, the best customer service I think i've ever experienced. Worth every penny.

Unfortunately, I’m not sure how much the coaching has helped me I have been disappointed with the follow through/support my coach has given. At the end of our last session we discussed cancelation and thought I had canceled until I saw that I had been charged for the past two months. Have emailed the company and am hoping to get those two months back. Hopefully it’s a bad coach not a bad company. Here is a short list of my experience.

1. Being told that I couldn’t do something because I identify myself as neurodiverse. I felt incredibly pushed into a corner that she felt I fit in and overall not listened to in the process. I had to tell her this was the path I was going down directly several times before I felt any support and that was only after I landed interviews independently in that field with no support.

2. Never getting her notes on my resume even though she brought it up/said she completed it every session.

3. Pointless assignments that were not helpful

4. Not listening to my career goals especially around growth in income in the next 2-4 years without getting another masters.

5. She said she would send info on canceling my membership in my last session and she never did.

I love working with Ama La Vida. I feel like I came in with confidence and self doubt issues that seemed impossible to overcome. However, coach Peggy was super understanding and amazing at guiding me both through personal and business development. Thanks to coach Peggy I have found the confidence to start multiple streams of income in a field I never thought would be possible. I'm so grateful for my experience and I'll definitely be coming back in the future!

My journey with Ama la Vida began under the guidance of Adam, who brought a sense of calm serenity and self-reflection to our sessions. His approach laid the groundwork for my personal and professional growth, helping me build a strong foundation of self-awareness and insight.

As my coaching journey evolved, I transitioned to working with Sherry. From our very first session, Sherry immediately created an atmosphere of trust and openness, making it easy to tackle even the most complex issues. Her wealth of life experience and professional insights have been invaluable to me as both a mentor and a coach.

Sherry's unique ability to navigate intricate leadership and company situations has been a game changer. Whether it's fostering team dynamics or charting a strategic course for the future, her guidance has been a lighthouse, illuminating the path toward success and fulfillment.

Together, Adam and Sherry have provided a well-rounded coaching experience that has profoundly impacted my life.

This review for my coach, Sara Dawson, is years overdue but it speaks volumes the impact of her coaching that I am still using the skills she taught me! Sara is a genuine caring person and an excellent listener. She is so professional and reliable. She is entirely present while working with you and she will work hard to understand who you are, your goals, struggles, and how to help you overcome. But she gives you the autonomy and empowers you to acheive for yourself! After every session she writes a detailed recap of what you discussed and what you will work on until the next session. She is so intuitive, intelligent, and open-hearted. She is easy to talk to and you will feel a true bond with her, knowing her heart is rooting for you. It's been five years, and I still think about all she taught me and I am still moved by how much she cares about others and their success.

have had such an amazing experience with Ama La Vida. From the very start when I first talked to Justice Lawson, I knew this was the right move. Justice talked me through the whole process and was so honest and easy to talk to. I am so thankful to Justice for making the decision so easy.
Not only was I able to build a professional online presence, but also build my confidence and self-love as well. Coach Peggy Wu is amazing, she brings her background as a life coach into her career coaching. When I started with Peggy I was struggling to see myself as a professional. We talked about more than just my job experience and she helped remove some of my mental blocks. Peggy has been such a great source of support in the past few months. I would email her on some of my lowest days and her words always put me back on the right path.
I even did two celebrity sessions with Lisa Allie. With Lisa, we went through line-by-line of my resume and she told me what was good and what needed improvement. My resume has never looked better and people are often impressed. Lisa also helped me with LinkedIn and taught me useful tools for how to get the most out of it!
on top of all of that, I have completed many helpful modules. The modules are like career-focused therapy. I really feel that everyone at Ama La Vida is focused on you as a human being. Your mental health and well-being will be prioritized.
I can not put a value on the experience I got out of this service as I don't know where I would be today without it.

I know this post is super cheesy but I wasn't paid to say any of this and have been sincerely blown away by my experience with Ama La Vida. When I first joined I didn't expect much but at EVERY step of the way I have been met with so much positivity and support.

I am so grateful for being on this journey with Ama La Vida! My first intro w/Shelby was informative and a fun conversation. Now working with Robbi as my coach, I feel like I've gotten much needed clarity and support already in such a short period of time. Robbi has been amazing at taking the time to understand me and give me challenges to move the needle on areas I'd like to improve, personal and professional. So excited to continue working with ALV!
