Overall AIM has done wonders for my son. He loves learning in the environment that AIM has created. For that I will be eternally grateful and recommending AIM to any child. From a parent engagement perspective I have some reservations. For several years I have asked permission to observe my son in his classes as well as observe some teachers in the upper grades. This would help me understand my son's current and future experiences and truly enable me to be a part of the team. Each year I am turned down. Some staff have supported my requests, but the leaders of the school refuse. This makes me wonder if they know that some of their teachers are "too green." In contrast, my other son who attends McCall, an inner city public school, the principal welcomes parent observation. The principal at McCall knows that while the school may lack the small classroom size or amenities of a place like AIM, that their teachers are the highlight and have an unbelievable skill level. Despite my reservations (dislike of secrecy) my son now LIKES school. He has developed good study skills and is learning. At the end of the day, what matters most is that my son is an engaged happy learner and for that I will be eternally grateful to the staff at AIM.

AIM is a school for children diagnosed with language-based learning differences, such as dyslexia. With this singular focus and research-to-practice methodology, AIM Has made an incredible impact for our daughter.

This is a fully independent, private school with a similar admissions process. To the disgruntled reviewer - just like other private schools, even if you have all the requirements (educational assessment, teacher evaluations and recommendations), the student has to be a good fit and there needs to be a spot available in the grade the student will entering. Also, the fees are similar to other private schools.

This was my first american school that I went to, since moving. The transition was frustrating, yet my teachers persisted with me. I used to not be able to imagine being able to do geometry, algebra and being able to understand basic math equations. Despite my pessimistic attitude, all of my teachers were patient.

I loved aim because of the students and some of the teachers. Another plus is the biking program. But it smells in the morning also the walls are soo bad that u can hear people threw them by just talking. Also the out door basket ball court always get mud on it after it rains. The food staff is A+ but it sucks that you can't chose what because u pay 34,912 up to 38,975 for a year.

Game changer in education for kids who need a little more than the routine and canned style of teaching. The hiighly specialized faculty teach kids in small groups - but somehow manage to really address the needs of the individual. A+
