Disabled People being refused service at two restaurant-type establishments SOLELY FOR DISABILITY REASONS, and the Executive Director of this outfit, when asked how I can file a report or an ADA Complaint or Lawsuit" says to me "I'm not going there with you. I am not a lawyer. You've done everything you can do. Just don't give them your money!!!"!!!!! One of the places had a high bar with steps. How could've they gotten my money anyway? They refused to give me a few drink choices!!! And wouldn't come down to an accessible table to serve us!!! And the other place had a young, inexperienced girl followed by an owner of the pizza establishment tell us on the phone "They were running a business and didn't have time for this nonsense!!!(Pre-Ordering a Pizza for an event there that night!!!)
WHAT EXACTLY DOES THIS PLACE DO ANYMORE? Some things good-that THEY do for us-BUT NOTHING FOR US WITH US.😪 And THIS is OUR Peoria-AREA (Not Even In Peoria anymore!!!)Center for Independent Living!!!😡All thanks to the top 1-2% and the Lobbyists!!!
But you just remember one thing:how the rest of you treat disabled people now will be how YOU will be treated LATER ON when YOU get OLD or SICK!!!😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

Very helpful what a wonderful group of people that I probably burn Bridges. I knew of them because I was on the board in another county of a Cil. Very disappointed thought this is the second time a staff member told me something from someone else. After thirty years in another county great record if the person she told me about does not step up about danger I could lose all! 65 years old two dogs lost my vehicle first
