Very supportive team…work to find the right fit for your child. If your child will put in the work and dedicate themselves they will have success with Academic Approach. The tutors are excellent teachers and have a wealth of experience with successful testing. The prices are comparable with other tutoring companies but their approach is by far the best that leads to success!!

I was not a believer in the whole ACT/SAT tutoring idea until a friend recommended Academic Approach because her son increased his ACT score by several points. I realized that my kids were competing against other kids who had the advantage of test prep/tutoring and decided that not getting mine support could potentially negatively impact them.
Both of my children took the ACT on their own and then again after tutoring with Marian - whom they liked and thought was effective - at Academic Approach and felt good about how their next tests went. Both increased their scores by 4 points which increased scholarship opportunities, not to mention their confidence. The tutoring was not inexpensive, however the savings in scholarship was substantial and made the cost of tutoring very affordable.
Academic Approach teaches the kids how to take the tests and how to be prepared for the types of matrial on the tests. Their tutoring was invaluable.
I have recommended Academic Approach to numerous friends and am happy to recommend them again.
One caveat... you get what you pay for. For my second child we tried a less expensive tutor than we used for her brother because she was more academically inclined. When she showed up for her second appointment having done the "homework" the tutor assigned he (the tutor) was completely unprepared and hadn't brought the answers nor any further test prep material. My daughter felt like it was a waste of time. I followed up with Academic Approach and they refunded our money and I requested Marian. After working with Marian my daughter noticed the difference in quality of tutoring ability right away. We were both glad we switched.

Both of my girls used Academic Approach for their preparation for the ACT and both of their scores improved from the expert help they received here. Be sure to find the right fit with the tutor but the right fit is definitely there! I would recommend them.
