My 10 year old son is getting open water certified. With severe dyslexia and dysgraphia, we knew there would need to be some accommodations for him to be successful, but also confident that he would be able to do it. A-1 made the necessary accommodations so that reading/writing difficulties weren’t a barrier to this incredible sport. Additionally, Serene and Todd, his instructors, were two of the best educators I’ve ever encountered. Separately, they are absolutely incredible. Together, they are exceptional. Their knowledge, skill, and demeanor with a new diver (a nervous kiddo to boot) was phenomenal. As an educator myself, watching them teach was inspiring. Their patience, celebration of success, and methodology of circling back to a skill until mastered was fantastic. Thank you so much for this experience!

My mom & I completed our open water certification recently at A1 and what stood out the most was how incredible the team was in making our experience smooth, enjoyable, and safe. It was well-orchestrated, and the instructors were sensitive and aware of diver needs and comfortability--for lack of better words, they handheld as much or as little as each diver needed. I appreciated the patience and dedication from Zan, Justin, Nathan, Krystal, Phil & the entire team.
I wanted to give special recognition to Krystal for helping my little dive buddy who was struggling, and a bit unsure at Chatfield for dives 3 & 4 considering the rough water that day. I was so impressed with the quality level of "customer/diver experience" that A1 provides. I will be recommending A1 to anyone wanting to get certified. Thank you A1 for exceeding our expectations and making the experience memorable and fun.

Carol was fantastic. I was trying out all new equipment and trying to reaclimate to diving after a "not so great experience" at another dive shop. I highly recommend A1.... and Carol!

These guys are amazing. I’ve been coming here ever since I was gifted an open water course through A1 by my mother in law a dozen or so years ago. Every time I have been treated with respect and everyone is always so helpful. I know I can trust them to service my gear before a trip and not have to worry about a thing. Their show room is large and gorgeous, with everything you could possibly need, and if they don’t have it they’ll order it! My oldest daughter learned to swim in their pool, and while I haven’t been in it myself, it looks pretty great.
I’m writing this review after I just made a tour of every dive shop between Thornton and Littleton to make sure I wasn’t missing anything. I can assure you, this is the only place anyone should ever go for anything scuba related around here. I cannot believe the condition and attitudes in the other shops around town.
Keep up the great work A1, you guys definitely have a customer for life!

I can attest to their comments. My class had people leave in tears, literally. Others mentioned only using this A1 facility because of availability, don’t. Look elsewhere there are many options. SSI appears to be a solid company, Littleton location unfortunately is not. Completely unwilling to honor the 48 hour window to reschedule a dive. I signed up for an 8:00am dive on a Wednesday, called the store 2 days prior Monday at 10:35am. The store opens at 10:30, no way to reschedule with in 48 hours. Dan wanted to charge a fee to reschedule and decided to hangup while i was explaining there was no method to contact the shop prior to 8:00am. They have voicemail but conveniently this isn’t an option. However, that same day, (Wednesday), there was an 11:00am dive.

I gave a two star because the dive team is knowledgable and i do not believe they have control over how the scuba program certification is operated. If they do, the program could use an overhaul.

Won't ever use this dive shop for anything in the future. I'll do my best to be brief. I'm looking to get my equipment serviced before my upcoming trip. Called around looking for a refresher course and service my regulator and BC. The shop that I ultimately chose in Greenwood Village is less than half the cost of this place for the labor portion of the service. Unfortunately they're back ordered on the kit they need for mine. I called Eric at A-1 and he said they have the service kits but couldn't sell it to me because of some liability issues which is understandable. What's not is when I mentioned that there's another local shop certified to do the work for much less. When I asked if they'd sell the service kit to them. He clammed up and said he can't make that decision. Has to be made by the General Manager. So, let me get this strait. After I ask you about purchasing the service kit and you say not to consumers (implying that if I owned a dive shop you could sell it to me) and I say not for me to purchase but one of your competitors that's much less expensive to do the service on my equipment. You now change that story as well. Got it! Here's an idea. Why not do your best to keep the business in your shop and say we'll match the price they were charging? Nope, not from Eric. I was told (paraphrasing) that we charge what we charge and if you don't like it. Too bad! With as much as everything costs these days. It sure much be nice to work for a company that has so much money. They don't care one bit about losing a new customer. Being condescending and arrogant on top of everything else doesn't help either. Again, word of advice is to stay away from this business and call anyone else. One World Dive & Travel is the other company that I was referring to earlier. Polite, nice and courteous. Oh, did I mention. Much less expensive on top of it.

Staff is awesome here at A-1! Warm welcome from Kevin, Andrew with the assist on my BCD tank strap, and Shane in repairs spotting and fixing an issue with the new reg set I brought in to test at their pool. Thanks guys!
