We switched our 2 year old from another local daycare to Learning Zone in May and it was the best decision we could have made for him. In just 3 months his speech has exploded and he is so much more interactive both at daycare and at home. He is always so excited to go to “school” everyday and absolutely loves his teachers. Each week, we are given multiple arts and crafts that they have completed throughout the week. We receive pictures and notes any time he does anything special through an app, and that is so reassuring as a mom who doesn’t always like having to leave her child all day. All of the staff have been so friendly and welcoming. Any questions or concerns we have had are always handled quickly. Very highly recommend LZ Watercress!

We love the Learning Zone. They have a great team that works there, and a beautiful facility. They are very attentive and caring to my child. The place is very clean, and I love the STEM learning. The security is awesome there. They also, send daily digit reports with lots of pictures of your little one. I would definitely recommend this place to others.

The Learning Zone at Watercress is a truly exceptional learning center. The facility is beautiful, and our experience there was fantastic from the very beginning. Olivia warmly greeted us the day before our appointment to arrange a tour for our 4-year-old grandson. We enjoyed our conversation with her as she scheduled us for the next day to meet India, the Director of Imagination - a title I absolutely adore. The environment at the center is calming, and it was evident that the children were excited and happy.

Our grandson was so enthralled that he bid us farewell, expressing his eagerness to stay in the class. The staff at the Learning Zone truly create a nurturing learning environment. We observed our grandson playing and interacting with both the other children and the staff seamlessly. It was truly amazing to watch everything unfold on the big screen. I was particularly impressed by the garden area and the wide variety of realistic play materials available for the children.

Overall, our experience was outstanding, and I would wholeheartedly give the Learning Zone at Watercress a perfect 5 out of 5 stars.

The Learning zone at watercress are exceeding my expectations when it comes to early childhood education. As a parent, finding the right place for my child to grow, learn, and socialize was a top priority, and I am thrilled to have chosen this preschool.

From the moment we walked through the door, we were welcomed with warm smiles from the staff. The facility is bright, colorful, and designed to feel like a home away from home. Classrooms are filled with engaging materials and activities that encourage exploration and creativity.
Dedicated and Caring Staff:
The teachers at The Learning zone genuinely care about the children. They are highly qualified and have a deep understanding of child development. It’s evident that they are passionate about teaching and nurturing young minds. They take the time to build relationships with each child, which has helped my child feel secure and excited about attending preschool.

The curriculum is well-rounded, incorporating play-based learning, arts and crafts, music, and outdoor activities. My child is introduced to basic academic skills through fun and engaging methods, and I love that they also focus on social-emotional development. I appreciate the regular updates and open communication from the teachers. They provide newsletters, parent-teacher conferences, and even share daily reports about what my child has learned and accomplished. Learning Zone is a wonderful place, the owners are constantly involved in the classroom activities and invest into each child. The teachers are caring, kind, and surround the children with daily activities that include art, music, sensory activities and interactive play. The facility is clean, organized, and maintains a family atmosphere. We love it here!

Leaving your child in the hands of others everyday is no easy task, but Learning Zone Watercress has provided a level of comfort and confidence we didn’t know was possible. From the moment you walk in the door you are always greeted with a warm welcome and someone is always present at the front desk to address any questions or concerns immediately. Both the Director and Assistant Director of Imagination are proffesional and clearly passionate about childcare as they are involved in every aspect of the facility and you can tell they truly care about our little ones.

We transitioned from another local daycare after being there since our 3 year old was just 5 months old, so switching to a new school was hard for all of us. Both the Directors and Teachers were so patient and helpful during this transitional period and constantly kept us updated on our son’s progress throughout the day. Whenever I called to check on him I could count on one of the Directors to answer the phone and was never left wondering how the day was going. From the constant picture updates and notes on the Tadpole app to the full daily report at the end of the day, you know exactly how the day went and what to continue to incorporate or work on at home.

There have been countless theme weeks at school so far, where the lessons for the day are centered around the theme and there are activities available for you to take home and continue the lesson. The decorations throughout the school to match the theme make walking in each day even more inviting. Our son is engaged, learning so much and genuinely loves going to school. We went from tears at drop off the first two weeks to literally running down the hall to class each day now and not wanting to leave his friends and teachers at the end of the day.

We were looking for a place that still focused on learning through imaginative play and discovery, while also having a curriculum to follow. LZs STEAM based curriculum offers just that and we have seen so much growth in just a few months, which is truly remarkable. Also not having to pack lunch or snacks has been a game changer for our family life. The facility is always sparkling clean and the teachers are clearly happy and enjoy their job, which is a reflection of the great leadership and their love for our children.

We most recently started potty training full time and they have been instrumental in our success thus far, with the consistency and patience that is required with any new milestone such as this. Our experience thus far has exceeded our expectations in every way possible and we are beyond grateful to have found this hidden gem in the heart of the Huntsville/Madison area. Best part of all, they only close for 12 days out of the entire school year and are even open on New Year’s Eve. This was such an exciting change for us as working parents along with the great operating hours as well. If you are looking for a place where your child will thrive, Learning Zone Watercress is the way to go!!

Learning Zone Watercress is a very sanitary and clean facility first of all, which is very nice to see. There is a schedule of events with themes - to include guest speakers and STEAM projects, meals are included, and availablability of LZ is most of the year. The teachers and staff are caring, involved, and proactive in my daughters development. My daughter is almost three and she's being potty trained at school, washing her hands on her own, and engaged socially making friends and doing STEAM projects with the wonderful teachers and staff working at Learning Zone Watercress. It's a bit pricy, but definitely worth the price for what you get.
