Dr. Asfour is terrible. September of 2023 my husband was rushed to Munster Community he was having a heart attack. They did not come till the next day to take him to get stints. Come back to recovery. Nothing from the Dr. Next day his assistant comes up and. Explain he had 2 clogged arteries a 90% and an 80%. She said we only put stint in the 90%. We will wait 6 months for the 80%. A week later my husband was back in the er another heart attack the 80% that they thought would make it 8 months only lasted 1 week. Failure my husband could have died. He will be sued

He and his staff gave me a pleasant environment before, during, and after my surgery. I felt as though some more follow-ups than the few were needed. I informed the office a few months later about moving to Illinois, and they unceremoniously dropped the case! Don't you think h
a consult with other physicians in my network and city would have been hippocratically correct and proper?!

Dr. Asfour took over the business from my previous doctor, Dr. Krad, who my family and I loved. Since then, I have been going regularly to his offices for wellness checks and any health issues. I always see the Nurse Practitioner, Lori Turner, who is very thorough, and absolutely wonderful, as are all the nurses and the office manager. I would highly recommend seeing this team for any health issues.

2 days after meeting Dr. Asfour he placed the first of 2 stents in my heart. 21 years later with his continuing care, timely and effective testing, monitoring and adjustments to my medications I’m healthier @ 78 than I was @ 57. I still work a 45 hr week and maintain a household. Look forward to continuing care with him!

Initially started out good. Not any more.
My mother had an appointment in January that was cancelled because doc going out of town. Reschedule for February. Appointment cancelled again because doc going out of town. Reschedule for beginning of March. Cancelled AGAIN. Went this week. After waiting for 1 hour went up to desk. Dr. Asfour not even in the building! After another 30 minutes we left. The nurse practitioner started to see the patients. If Dr. Asfour got called into hospital for an emergency case, the staff should have been notified and the staff should have told all the patients waiting and given us a choice to wait or reschedule. When I have gone to an OB/GYN appointment and doc gets called for delivering a baby, the staff always lets patients know.

At one of the last visits I did with my mom, Dr. Asfour was busy on his phone instead of focusing on the patient that was in front of him. If there was an issue he needed to address, he should have excused himself and left the room and came back when he could focus on the patient right in front of him.

This office contiually cancels appointments. They were suppose to call me after my mom's last visit to schedule a procedure. It took them over 4 weeks to do so. Then they were supposed to call in a script for that procedure and 5 days later, still have not done so. The operator was extremely rude, cutting me off mid sentence , and basically putting me into a voice-mail system. So much for urgency and concern on behalf of their cardiovascular patient.

I went to Dr. Asfour two weeks a go for s heart check up. My appointment was at 9 am. I was nervous but the nurse was explained to me about the tests I will be exposed to me and she stayed with me. Then I saw dr Asfour he explained the test results to me I was very happy with him. He took his time. He was kind and caring.

Dr. Asfour has a great bedside manner. Explains everything throughly. If you do not understand the first time he goes back over everything.
