Phil's ACT tutoring was tremendously helpful for my daughter in improving both her confidence level and her ACT score. The college application process is complex and can feel overwhelming, so it was wonderful to have someone with expertise to clarify what she needed to do to prepare for the ACT. My daughter completed multiple practice tests and spent her tutoring sessions reviewing her incorrect answers with Phil. By the test date, she felt very familiar with the test format and was able to plan her time well during the test. Phil does an excellent job of challenging students while lightening their mood with a dash of humor. I look forward to having her work with David on essay writing!

Phil was wonderful. My daughter had a few sessions at his Ambridge office and did well above average on her ACT score the first time taking the test. They are down to earth and can relate to kids exquisitely. They help kids with study skills and direct them between ACT and SAT testing. I highly recommend. Well worth the minimum fee they charge and their hours accommodate everyone. Thanks Phil. We’re Penn State bound!

Great experience with Phil at 3RPrep. He is straight forward and guided my son in preparing for the SAT exam over the summer. His goal was to increase his test score by 100 points and he exceeded that after taking the test twice and actually scoring 200 points over his initial test score. Phil also gave him some good college advice.

There are many reasons my son was accepted into Stanford. 3R Prep is one of them. I feel that with the coaching and expertise provided by Phil and David, my son was able to reach his maximum potential on both the SAT and the ACT. They have high expectations (and somehow make it fun & engaging) but for the students who are ready to work hard they will help and motivate them to get the maximum scores they can get. To be honest, I didn't think spending money on a tutor was necessary but my son asked us to consider it because Phil and David came highly recommended by his friends so we did and reluctantly agreed...I'm so glad we did! We decided to take the Perfect Score Package - it was expensive but for my son, it was well worth it in the end. The bottom line is that if your child is willing to put in the hard work to increase his/her chances of attending the university of his/her dream then having 3R Prep work with him/her will pay off. One of the best part about Phil & David is that their expertise complement each other - we joke that they're kind of like the dream team….but they are in a way. Phil is excellent at the Math & Science portions of the SAT/ACT and thru years of research has developed successful test taking techniques which he coaches the students to use to improve speed and performance. David is a gifted English professor and he helped my son improve the English portions of the SAT and ACT in just a few sessions. Now getting a tutor, or not, is a personal decision so whatever you decide, good luck, but if your child does decide he or she wants a tutor, then I would choose 3R Prep for sure--they are the best. Students after students, they are delivering and are helping students reach their full potential and attend the college of their dreams, whatever that may be. As a parent, I could not ask for more!
