They solved the problem of the stolen foodstamps but they didnt help me while i was waiting for a reimbursement of new foodstamps. Basically i was left with no money to buy food and i was hungry.

If I can give zero stars, I would. Firstly, this is the wrong address, correct one is 1912 Mermaid Ave. Went in to pick up a card and went to the machine for a ticket. It printed out a ticket beginning with VC. Went in to wait, 10 mins in I realized they never call with anything beginning with VC. Went to ask the security guard who was just browsing on their phone and ignored me until I spoke a bit louder. She told me to go see the guy in booth 11. I explained my situation and he told me to go get a CG ticket. I got the ticket and waited over 2 hrs and 45 mins and I was still 14 numbers away from them calling my number. I went up to just talk to someone in an empty window and she informed me I just needed to go to booth 11. I went back to see the guy and all he could tell me was that my cards were not valid and wouldn't help me anymore. It was so hard to understand him cause he wouldn't speak up and he waved me away. They need a better customer service system so we don't waste our time. We need someone who actually answers if we really need to be there waiting for hours instead of waiting to find out you you came for no reason. I had my young son with me and it was so warm in there that he was turning red even with a T shirt.

UPDATE* THIS LOCATION IS CLOSED. THEYRE ON 19th AND MERMAID NOW!

Just went in today and I can’t believe they’re open! Honestly in person is much better than online or through some app. They were able to help me with my closed case and everyone was so nice from the man handing out tickets to the lady at the front desk. Went in when they opened and was out in a couple hours. It’s always a wait so expect it when you go in. I guess no more in person interviews though, they told me I’d get a call back.

Once in a blue moon you'll find a caring empathetic worker that will absolutely help you, but most of the time the workers there are hideous. Most of them don't speak English clearly and can be very discriminative. Long wait times is understandable but there is a bias that comes with it. Honestly a horrible place.

Usually people come here for help because, they have no money or where to live and most of the time it's elderly people. But instead of help, they get disrespected and ignored. I went to this place with my parents to get apply for Cash assistance. During our visit, the people who work there ignored us. When we asked questions, they got angry, a specialy Russian woman. When I wanted to ask a question, she interrupted me without even listening and gave the same answer, saying that she was tired of answering the same question to everyone. And she gave us fals information insisting that we applied for the right program, which we didn't. Isn't it the job of the employees who are there to answer questions and help, if not, then why are you there and getting paid for something you don't want to do and get angry.

They need negative 5 stars is my true feelings! Not all but 90% workers are not good either they're slow, dont know anything, or don't care to help. They talk more to their coworkers then clients. Everytime I've been there it took over 4hrs no matter what time for what reason 4hrs. But the 10% they have are amazing workers i wish there were more workers like them.

On what i read about the reviews were too bad. But base on my experience i would say i had a great one. The only thing is the long wait but we gotta be patience coz were getting free stuff. I was very patient waiting with my daughter but it was worth it. Two thumbs up to Miss Larissa Cheresmneva. She did everything to help me and get the benefits that me and my daughter deserve. She is such a great person and a public employee. Special thanks also to Miss Castillo for assisting me in the Child Care. She is very nice and very approaching. Also to all the security guard and the people at reception they were all very nice and polite. More power to all of you and keep up the good work.
