The Summit School of Ahwatukee is unlike any school we have ever seen! When we started looking for a preschool for our daughter, all we knew for sure is that we wanted to send her to a welcoming, loving environment with a strong emphasis on learning and challenging her to succeed. The Summit School of Ahwatukee far surpassed all of our expectations and opened our eyes to incredible programs that we didn't even know we were looking for!! We are continually blown away by the staff, teachers, parents, and students!! We feel so incredibly blessed to have our daughter attend Summit and can't wait until our youngest daughter is old enough to join the program!! Thank you so much Summit for being our dream school!!! 🙂

Summit School

I have 3 children currently attending Summit, since beginning in preschool in 2008. I have seen the teachers challenge them academically - whether it is providing additional challenge work to think beyond what they are learning or helping support lower areas. They are encouraged and expected to be the best they can be not only in their school work, but in their social/emotional growth. The small class sizes allow for teachers to truly know each student. I have watched students graduate and become confident, independent young adults and I'm excited my children have the same opportunity. The academic program is rigorous without taking away their childhood. Students are not given busy work, but real life examples and application of what they are learning.

We've had a wonderful experience so far. Our son has been in the preschool for 2 years and he loves going to school. Ms. Regina and Ms. Lisa have been so great! They facilitate a very creative and thoughtful experience for the kids in their class. They allow the kids to explore their interests and help them think through their world while teaching critical thinking skills. We would definitely recommend the school to other parents.

Our son went to Summit from Preschool through 8th grade and is now at a top East Coast boarding school. He loved his time at Summit and felt well prepared for his rigorous high school. You have to see this school to believe it. One look at the Art Show, and you will be blown away! We are so grateful to Summit, its fabulous teachers, and amazing community!

I have 2 children who have attended Summit since 3rd and 5th grades and I can not say enough wonderful things about this school. My oldest has since graduated and is now a sophmore at Seton Catholic Prep and my daughter is an 8th grader and will be graduating in a few months. Both of my children have not only been challenged academically but have grown socially as well. They have learned to become leaders both in the classroom and in the community. Summit is a safe place where they have been able to take risks and try new things like sports, theater, and instruments. They have been on fascinating field trips and had amazing artists and speakers in residence and finally, the 8th grade culminating event is not to be missed. You have to see it to believe it! Each year it brings tears to my eyes to see the children of Summit challenge themselves during their ROPES experience and come through it ready for high school. THIS SCHOOL IS WONDERFUL!

We have been at Summit for the past 6 years and we truly believe the teachers, staff and administration are amazing. Summit has been such a positive aspect of our lives and we truly feel fortunate for the solid academic and social foundation that all 3 of our boys have. Summit is like home for us.

Small class sizes, individualized attention, before and after school office hours for those students that need a little extra help and personalized projects for those that want to go the extra mile... that's what makes the middle school a special place. The teachers are passionate both about their subjects and their students, and the parents are allowed as much involvement as they feel is appropriate for their own child. Adolescence is hard enough, spending it at Summit makes it a whole lot easier.

Summit School of Ahwatukee has EXCEEDED our expectations. Our daughter, Alexa, has been enrolled since K, and is now in her last year at Summit, since she will be in the 8th grade graduating Class of 2017.

These are just a FEW of the reasons for Excellence at Summit School of Ahwatukee:
1). Student to teacher ratios are at an incredible ratio to allow the teachers to motivate, stimulate, and engage with every student.
2). Selecting a "best" teacher is close to impossible, since the entire staff and administration work together as a cohesive team to succeed.
3). Bonding in the classroom and outside the classroom on field trips (i.e., Pali Mountain, AstroCamp, Washington DC/NYC) has enabled our daughter to grow intellectually, mentally, socially, and in a safe environment with her peers.
4). Our daughter as a teenager LOVES going to Summit, and volunteers regularly to help with Preschool to give back in many ways to not only Summit, yet our church, and our community.
5). In alphabetical order (Algebra, Art, Athletics/PE, Culinary, Forensics, Game Design, Language Arts, Literature, Robotics, Science, Spanish, Theatre, and Yearbook) are classes available for Middle School. Our daughter enrolled in Algebra in 7th grade, and received high school credit for completion.
6). Classroom lists are created which combine students like minded to excel.
7). Does your child LOVE going to school and are they motivated to do their homework correctly the first time? At Summit, our daughter does!
8). Our daughter has a LOVE for learning and per our daughter she, "Learns in each classroom by having fun since each class and teacher engages in more than just a textbook, with hands on experience."
