Sent my daughter here as a boarder 20 years ago, as a rising 10th grader. Before attending she was an underachiever at a private Catholic school in South Florida getting mostly C’s. This school gave her the incentive and skills to step it up and become a leader in and out of the classroom. She got accepted into the University of Florida, and now is employed in a great company in Atlanta, making great decisions for her firm, and earning a nice 6 figure salary with all the perks. I can HONESTLY say, this school was the beginning of greatness for my daughter. It taught her how to succeed for College when ordinary schools do not. Is it worth it? It depends on what you think your kids future is worth. After you answer that question it’s a pretty easy answer. This school is special. So many fond memories for me as a parent, just seeing my daughter grow, mature and become a successful leader. 20 years later I know where it all began. God bless.

I am a 2012 graduate from Farragut, and it is still the best experience of my life. Coming from the school gave me so many different insights on many things, though for the best experience there, join the color guard or the drill team. It is tons of fun, and opens up many opportunities. I am glad to have been there, the lifestyle will stick with you for the rest of your life, shaping you or your child to be a respectful, responsible, adult.

Great teachers with an amazing sports program. The students learn about accountability, perseverance, diversity, and collaboration. The school helps the students become self-reliant and independent so they will be ready for college and life. My kids are making friends and are enjoying their time at AFA.

I couldn't imagine my kids going to another school. In public school my oldest daughter got in trouble all of the time for talking because she was bored. She was already reading in Kindergarten so the teachers didn't know what to do with her, they had other kids they had to get to pass a state mandated test. Once we came to Farragut in 1st grade, the curriculum was challenging and engaging. She still got in trouble for talking, but it was quickly handled by the teacher and us. Now (10th grade) she is a straight A student, on the volleyball, wrestling, and softball team, in book and poetry club, and performs in the talent shows and in plays. What other school can you do all of that?
My youngest daughter came to this school at 3 1/2 years old. She is currently in 5th grade. She is my social butterfly/drama queen. She knows everyone on campus from PreK-12th grade (students and staff) because it is a family atmosphere. At times, she struggles with school academically but her teachers work with us at every angle. She reads extra with the librarians, she gets after school tutoring from the Chinese teacher, she works extra with the speech/language specialist. She has difficulties in school but is happy, nonetheless, because she knows that the teachers care and want the best for her. No one makes her feel dumb or incapable. On top of all of her tutoring, my daughter is in drama and sports. What other school can provide that?

We have 3 Daughters at Farragut, it’s an amazing institution. AFA has state of the art facilities with great technological systems. The academics and college prep aspect here are phenomenal but above all the academy helps these young men and women build self confidence.

Any child after 2 years at Farragut can walk up to any adult and look them straight in the eye and shake their hands. This firm foundation of being able to show respect, integrity and high self esteem is embodied in the military values taught to our children here. The military teaches our kids to respect and honor every individual regardless of their race, religion or national origin. The headmaster and his team are very accommodating to families.

The extracurricular activities like Robotics, Art, Science and Sports encourage the kids to think outside the box. Keep up the great work AFA Team. Our daughters love and cherish every moment they spend at AFA.

As a proud ‘99 AFA graduate, I would give my entire high school experience here 10 stars if I could. Nothing could have better prepared me for life than the training and education I received here. The friendships I had developed during my time here, as well as those I made afterwards through our alumni networks are invaluable. If you’re looking for an elite college preparatory experience - you need not look any further.

I spent a summer here for Leadership academy between my sophomore and Junior year, although i was doing pushups instead of enjoying ther sights, the time i was there i noticed that it was a nice campus overall and there is a lot of potential to learn right by the water where the sun sets. i uirge you to not go there for about 4 weks of the summer cause the eckos down the hall from the yuelling of yes sir and no sir can be a sleep depriving and eerie thing. I hope one day i can go back to help out and see what i went through from another point of view. Enjoy!!
