Adam, Ali, Musashi, JT and the rest of the instructors are AMAZING! If you're looking to learn new skills and get a killer workout, you NEED to check out this gym. The trainers are decent human beings who are highly motivated and will push you to exceed your limitations; the fellow comrades will encourage you.

This gym is full of diversity and everyone’s welcome.
Classes are never overcrowded, and the instructors will guide you in a way that feels personalized and customized. They have a bunch of classes that allow you to build your skill set and your confidence and make new friends (beats the heck out of running on treadmills).

The best part of the gym is the comradery- they host PPV MMA fight-night watches and parties. Try them out, you won’t regret it

I've been coming to PNW Krav for close to three years now. It's a great community, with lots of different class options, with room both for folks just starting out, and those with more experience. The teachers are solid, and Adam is great.

Been (admitally inconsistently) going for approximately 3 months.

The trainers are highly motivated and will PUSH you hard, the members are reasonably tight-nit but welcoming.

Classes are not overcrowded (biggest I was in was around ~14 people) and trainers will take time to address individual members.

If you take advantage of taking multiple classes I highly recommend strike fit (amazing cardio), krav (cardio + self defense) and the endurance training, the combination will mess you up a little but get you into shape very quickly.

I do recommend doing cardio for a week or two before joining since it will significantly improve your experience.

Also the dog looks scary, he's friendly though.

My husband & I have been members for a couple months now; we’ve found the community to be one that compasses the true essence of the word “community”. We always leave in a better mood than we arrived in. It is a place to be encouraged and challenged.

LADIES, from me to you:
This is an incredible space where empowerment meets skill-building. The instructors genuinely prioritize your progress, tailoring guidance to ensure you feel confident every strike ( 😉 )of the way. As a woman, it's essential to feel safe and capable, and Adam/Ali/all the instructors go above and beyond to cultivate that environment.

Their approach isn't just about techniques; it's about fostering a sense of strength and self-assurance in every aspect of life. You'll find a supportive group of women here, all on a journey to hone their abilities while building friendships that go beyond the studio walls.

Don't let intimidation hold you back. This is a place where you'll grow physically, mentally, and emotionally.

It's really hard not to praise this place. I was only there for two months (because I was leaving the US) and my only regret was not discovering it sooner.

Kudos to the absolutely outstanding and passionate teachers who truly give it their all to teach their students how to best defend themselves. I felt awesome every time I left the school there.

Practical stuff:
1- There's multiple classes nearly every day, both striking and grappling. They're both run by top-notch teachers.
2- Students are all fun and friendly.
3- When I asked to cancel, it was done immediately no questions asked and by e-mail. If you have been to some other gyms/dojos you know this is not a given.
4- There are level 1 classes, level 2 classes, and mixed. I believe some of the teachers are higher level (4?) themselves and it shows.
5- Lots of parking outside

I highly recommend this place and wish the owners and teachers all the best.

After being a member for over 6 months I had a level 3 ankle sprain and tear that I sustained while at the gym during class. After the injury the gym insisted on still charging me a monthly membership despite me not being able to walk for 2 months. A freeze was offered but that meant I would still get charged the monthly membership without me using the gym. I appealed to the gym stating I had an urgent care bill and now physical therapy for the upcoming 8 weeks. While I understand the current climate for small business owners it is really sad to know I am not more than a monthly charge to a gym I went to almost everyday for more than 6 months.

I would also like to adress the response/reply from the gym. It is stated that the gym tried to work with me at the beginning of my injury. I reached out to the gym after my injury (not the other way around) and that is when I was told I would still get charged . No one "worked" with me I was just told it is what it is and we will charge you. I have the emails. I understand that there is a policy for a 60 day cancellation. What baffles me is that there is no clause for accidents or injury. Even if they see you get injured right there in class, there will be no compassion or interest in your well being at the end they will just want to cash in their monthly payment. There are so many other better gyms in the area that will actually treat you like a human being.

PNW Krav Maga has been an amazing part of my life since I started. One of the first benefits is that it is a great workout. I started out fairly out of shape and along with eating better, helped me get a lot healthier. Even now I am always still learning to push myself further. No matter how "fit" you are, the warm up is sure to wipe you out if you let it. The group of coaches and other students are highly supportive. Adam may get your goat sometimes, but it is only because he knows when you can push harder.

The best part is that everything that I have learned is applicable. Unlike many other martial arts, Krav Maga is applicable in the real world. You don't need the other person to "follow the rules." I started taking this because I lived in Cap Hill and wanted to be sure that I would be okay if I was walking alone night. Now that I live in the suburbs, I still love it and feel more confident I can defend myself if it is needed.
