Finishing the welding program this week. I would not recommend this school to anyone. We were told many times they would get us better machines. You’re usually switching booths 2 times because of issues with the miller or Lincoln units. The communication here seems to be a major problem. The president of the school told us a specialist was coming from Tulsa welding school to teach us how to read blueprints, but after Christmas break that never happened. This is a Tulsa Welding sister school and is more like there abused alienated sister school. After 23k in student loan debt I have learned how to weld more from YouTube. I am now looking into another school. This school is overcrowded and understaffed. You’re lucky to find an instructor to help because there is lack of them. Save your money and go elsewhere. If I could describe there welding program with one word it would be incompetent.

My experience with this school is awful.

Getting information about proceeding education here is unimaginable. They, reps, advisors, admin, etc., don't keep in contact with their future students, especially, when they voiced the fact (for a lack of a better word, because they are never consistent with communication with their students and from my experience express a lot of false commitments and expectations) they'll be reaching back. Being told by an advisor that they flat out ignored some of your previous emails and calls regarding (many unanswered) questions about school is extremely inappropriate and disrespectful behavior.

If you are not comfortable reaching out first, as a student, you will not enjoy communicating with this school for information on your education. As well as, if you want your education to be taken seriously, this school will not be prioritizing you nor your child.

Being told there's an opportunity to apply and receive a scholarship through a phone call and told that they'd call back the next day with further information, yet, have been completely ignored and left to wonder about said topic. This situation was handled poorly, and still have yet to receive a response about the said scholarship for school even after emailing multiple times and calling the school for help and assistance.

Being informed about payments is cruel. No one should be left in the dark wondering why their school can't communicate when payment deadlines are or how their payment plans work, upon asking. The fiance department is supposed to help their students, has yet to discuss anything remotely related to payments. Called multiple times, on different occasions, they are extremely hard to get a hold of. I understand everyone has questions, so the possibility of being heavily occupied arises. None the less, extremely difficult to get assistance.

A school should care for their students. Whether it's a university, high school, charter, or even trade school – you should be in awe about getting your students the best education experience and proper assistance throughout the entirety.

No student should be stressed out and anxious about how their future education is being handled by the school, even to this point, as they'll be attending in a few days. Absolutely, disgusting and repetitive behavior expressed by this school. How hard is it to show your students (with at least minimal) respect?

I want a phone number to speak with someone who knows how to do their job correctly and can address this situation adequately. Provide a phone number, please and thank you.

I’m a student here, I love all my weekend instructors and everything I’m learning. Alicia in student services is AMAZING too, she’s so involved with everything and happy to help with whatever she can! Highly recommend

You could save a lot of money by buying a welder and looking up Tulsa welding school on YouTube. They don’t pay for AWS certification testing instead you get a VR headset that we weren’t required to use. Instructors generally have a bad attitude and expect you to already know how to weld for some reason. There doesn’t seem to be any regulating body over the school and if they teach at all it’s bare minimum. If you really want to go to a school try AAI. I met some students from there and they seem to have had a way better experience and more detailed, helpful teaching.

I just graduated from RSI doing the EMT program and I don’t think it’s worth the 24k that they want. The information was all pretty good, however the first couple of classes the instructors will actually spend time teaching but once you get farther in the program it becomes almost a waste of time to drive down there. Most days we were only taught for 2 hours and did a little bit of hands on and then went home since there wasn’t anything else to do. I don’t feel like I got my moneys worth at all. On another hand the tools they give you are very basic and minimal. They give you a Chromebook and oculus that we never even used so I ended up selling both to get some of my money back lol. In many of the classes the information they give you in just regurgitated over and over and you don’t really learn anything new. Since we are paying $2700 for each class I wish it would have been more worth my time. The solar class you’ll take is pointless and should be removed. Sometimes the instructors would just disappear, I would go looking for them to ask for help and couldn’t even do that because they were wondering around or in a different class. I found my self on youtube quite a bit learning stuff that the instructors didn’t make sense of. I’ve called the school multiple times to try and get an answer when i’ll receive my diploma, and it’s nearly impossible to get any answers. If the school wasn’t so damn expensive I think it would make more sense to come here.

If your going for welding... do not go to weekend classes. Instructors are never on the same page. You get tested and graded on things that don't even have a grade in the grade book. And not to mention you get rushed through class and not taught anything because the instructors would rather be going on a hot date or to the bar. If you value your education.. find another school

Being that the refrigeration school is actually awesome I actually go to school there it is one of the things that I wanted to do for so long after I applied I rolled myself and then therefore I got on as a welding specialist 101 I hope to have more experiences going forward with this school and how they have made me aware of my career The Chosen career that I want to pursue is being a welder for now I want to see how that goes after graduation the welding school the refrigeration School is pretty awesome there is lots of students who enjoy what they do there I like it so will you

If you don’t get approved for a FASA loan the welding training cost $11,295 up front and $1815 a month for 7 months.
