Bobby-Tariq tutoring center is the best of the best. I am at bobby-tariq here for the pre-shsat & shsat course. Bobby explains all of the tests in detail and takes time out of his life to make these for us. (he not only uses the handbook tests, but he makes his own) If you listen to Bobby, he can get you where you want to get. This in my opinion is the #1 tutoring center in NYC, no doubt about it.

Hey!
The SHSAT scores aren’t out yet, the test is in 3 days, and Bobby’s last class just ended today. Maybe in a couple years someone will see this review way after when I’m in high school. For now though, to who ever sees this and needs it, choose this prep.

I am more nervous by the fact Bobby’s has ended today and I won’t be back next week than the fact the SHSAT is in 3 days. I miss the environment, encouragement, training, and lessons.
This prep gave me a sense of purpose beyond school. I am motivated, I have small goals and huge goals. I have even huger dreams now too! Regardless of the outcome, I feel more educated as a person, mentally stronger, and more confident in myself.
Bobby not only prepares us for the SHSAT, he prepares us for the future. ( it’s cheesy but how else do I put it )
Bobby’s was the only tutoring center I actually saw through to the end. I went to Kumon, khan academy, iklass, ( not for SHSAT ) reading town and many more. I would beg my parents not to send me ALOT. So at some point, I dropped out of all of them. Maybe their SHSAT prep is better? Idk cause I went for tutoring and etc

Bobby’s had me INVESTED. My parents didn’t have to tell me to go, I felt motivated to go. I actually wanted to go.
Everyone is competitive here ( in a healthy way! ) and it really pushes you to give it your all. The team is super helpful and they always have extra help ready for you if you need it! Hw during the school year is light so you don’t have to worry about balancing school work and Bobby’s work. Summer is the time you start grinding super hard and September and October ish is when you reap the results.
You subconsciously find yourself maturing and changing over a period of time and you don’t even catch it until you compare yourself to who you were from a couple of months ago.
I hope everyone does well and succeeds in life and finds happiness wherever they go. if anyone from my class sees this, I’m praying for u guys, and lock in ! If any prospective students are reading this, I hope you also find happiness in whatever you do! I believe in you guys and I’ll be rooting for u! Bobby is a great mentor and if you pick this prep, you will leave with more than just increased self esteem, a sense of fulfillment and a purpose. You’ll have lessons you will carry with you throughout your life.

Hi. I'm a student from Bobby Tariq (studying for the SHSAT), and I want to talk about how amazing this tutoring center is. Starting off, I used to go to many tutoring places, but I wasn't satisfied with most of the learning techniques. At the end of their classes I would barely learn anything and feel confused about most stuff. My mom and I discussed about going to Bobby's and we both agreed for me to learn over there. At the first day, I have learned so much and the teacher there was AMAZING at explaining the steps and shortcuts to make many problems seem so much easier. What we've learned so far (for SHSAT) were the many different variety of grammar rules SHSAT will test us on (Ex; Introductory/Subject Modifier, run-on sentences w/ fixes, etc.), ELA strategies, MATH strategies, and much more tricks to improve your way of thinking. The teacher also always make sure to go over what we are learning in depth and that everyone understands it. Another thing I really appreciate about the teachers over Bobby's is that they care for each and every one of their students and their learning process. Now everytime I study using practice tests, I can approach them in a much more simpler way than how I did before coming to Bobby Tariq. Even with everything I said, this is JUST a few benefits I've received by coming here. The Bobby Tariq Tutoring center will grant you so much more positive impact once you come over. I know that I will always be grateful for making the right decision to come here and learn . (Also if you aren't studying for the SHSAT, the options there are diverse and includes tutoring for many grades , plus the SAT).

I'm currently a student of Bobby for SAT. The summer prep is rigorous, and he's a really good tutor. The cost for the classes is high, but Bobby has been an amazing guide. He explains everything very clearly and I'd say the Summer SAT BEAST program is worth it.

My experience at Bobby has been amazing. I met very nice people and Bobby teaches exceptionally. I learned all the important SAT topics and even some tricks. I’m going to take the SAT this weekend and I am super confident that because of Bobby I will score above a 1500. I went here for SAT and SHSAT. Tariq, my SHSAT instructor, was a great help, and boosted my SHSAT performance and confidence. His high stakes pressure got the best out of me. As for SAT, Bobby was immensely helpful. Through his program I went from 600s in Math and ELA to consistent 700+ on both sections in his program.

Bobby-tariq's tutoring is not worth the money. Many students paid around 10k for his SAT summer program.

He taught students in a group class for the first two or three weeks. After that, he started making the students tutor each other (students with 1400+ scores would teach the lower scores). At that point, what is the point of paying for a program that doesn't even have professional teachers?

Many of the practice questions he used were from the free CollegeBoard tests or free tests you can find online, just slightly different. You are not paying for anything special.

Students are pressured to speak highly of the program This is a very sketchy company. If you're looking for high-quality tutoring, avoid this place.

Bobby Tariq tutoring center is the best tutoring center I have ever attended. He had helped me gain the confidence needed to take the 9th-grade SHSAT. He taught me many techniques and I am grateful to learn from him.
