I was told that because I'm disabled, I would be a liability to them, and so they refused me a place in their shelter. I am 42 years old, getting temporary disability due to a traumatic event causing me to have a full nervous breakdown (anyone in my position would have had a full nervous breakdown) and I need to get medication for my low blood pressure. I have never been hospitalized or injured from my low blood pressure causing me to be a little light headed sometimes, requiring me to sit down for a minute. How am I a liability? It doesn't say anything on salvation army website about not helping people on disability!
