I did my Private Pilot training here last year. I flew (by choice) with a variety of instructors there, most of whom were retired airline pilots. My main instructor had been an active flight instructor for about 20 years. I've gone on to get more ratings after we had to move out of state, but several times in dealing with Instructors at other schools (most of whom were only there for the flight hours), I've felt fortunate to have had my initial training at this flight school.

My experience with the staff at Sterling aviation was an above and beyond anything I could imagine everybody had a good positive attitude and were very helpful, I had an opportunity to meet the owner and I felt like I was treated like family, Mr. Bruno is a very educated man very kind man and a very positive Individual, meeting mr Bruno was Awesome and we will be doing business in the future . Definitely a 5 star rating.

Worst FBO, Flight Training Center and Maintenance Facility I have ever had the misfortune of walking through the front door of in 30 years of flying. Rude employees, and horrible maintenance practices. Do yourself a favor and do not even taxi past their facility, there incompetence might reach out and effect you!

Avoid this place. Very rude owner which cancel our meeting with out calling me himself and changing his words. Before I start doing my paperworks we aggreed on something that he changed his word after I was done with my paperworks and fingerprinting. He even did not contact me himself.
The prices are high and you can find out what kind of service you will get from their entance.

After an annual I had an engine failure. Instead of fixing the problem, they copped out. They obviously were cutting corners. I could have died. Beware!

At first they said they would fix it in an email, then they denied it even though I had it in writing.

At the airport I mostly glided to after the engine stopped, the mechanics there said that the fuel strainer looked like it had not been checked in a long time. Very indicative of a lazy and dangerous annual.

The annual also cost twice what they said it would cost and I was not warned until it was over and the money was taken out of my account.

I've parked at Sterling a couple of times to pick up passengers, and it's absolutely first-rate service. Thankfully, I've never needed any repair services, so I can't comment on those. 🙂
