Magellan has been amazing to work with. I originally needed an SAT prep tutor for my son but then also realized he needed an Algebra 3 tutor as well. Magellan has been extremely flexible with our tutoring needs, with scheduling, offering both in-person and virtual options, and even offering last minute tutors, when necessary. Their pricing is also very reasonable. My son’s regular tutor, Chris, is extremely knowledgeable and has helped my son tremendously, not only improving his knowledge of the material and his grade in algebra, but also in his self-confidence. I highly recommend Magellan Tutoring!

We have been using Magellan tutoring for 7th grade math for the past 2 months. Tutoring is going well. We were able to set a specific schedule to meet with one tutor. Our tutor, Fatme, is great. She caters her sessions to align with what is being worked on in class. She helps prepare for tests and goes over the tests after to help my child figure out what she missed and why. My child stated that Fatme is nice, makes learning fun, and explains concepts in a way that she understands.

We contacted Magellan for a math tutor and, when it looked like we also needed a physics tutor, they suggested that they could find one tutor who could do both. The customer service was great, and both tutors were more than qualified and worked well with my kid. I will say the tutoring has made a definite (positive) impact on confidence as well as grades.

My 2 kids have been working with Magellan Tutoring for the past year and it's been a wonderful experience. From the tutors, to the administration, I couldn't recommend them more. My 5th grader has had challenges specifically with math and language arts over the last few years, but with his tutor Nada's help, he's improved drastically this past year. She also helped my 8th grader prepare for the HSPT which is a high school placement test, on which she scored above 90. Nada is a wonderful tutor whom my kids adore because she makes learning fun. I really can't say enough about the administration too. They are extremely friendly, quick to respond to my questions, and are very accommodating. We were initially looking at these brick and mortar learning centers but they group instructors with 3-4 kids at a time and are very expensive. Magellan is great because the tutors come to your house for one to one private instruction at a reasonable price. As a parent, I am extremely satisfied with Magellan Tutoring and will continue to work with them.

So far so good with both my sons. We've only used Magellan for math, but we might use it for more subjects this year. Our older son is off to college, but our younger son is a rising freshman. He's got some challenging math coming up this year and we'll come back to Magellan for it.

Magellan Tutoring has been a perfect fit for our 10-year-old daughter, who was struggling with math in the beginning of 2024. Magellan matched our daughter with Eva, who is a wonderful tutor.
