We are so happy that we went with Professional Tutoring for College Counseling for our son, who is now a senior. The complexity of college admissions had really thrown us and Julia Ross and her team have been both wonderful and patient in helping both my son and us navigate it. Everyone there is very easy to talk to. I found Julia Ross Professional Tutoring through a close friend. Her son had a terrific experience working with Julia and her team, and after hearing about their experience, I decided I would enlist a professional to help guide my son's college application process. Here are my top 3 reasons for trusting Julia to guide your child: if this is your first time, it's rather daunting to figure what to do first and when. Julia gives you a clear schedule and works with the student to follow it - there's literally no way you can miss a deadline. Second, and this was what really sold me, Julia integrates parents into the application process meaning, even though a majority of the responsibility rests on the student. I loved being part of the discussion. Third, Julia cares about your child and what's best for him/her. She will not let students in her care fall through the cracks. She was able to convince my son to change his course list for the school year to better align with the schools he wanted to apply to. She did this with absolute clarity. In my opinion, this was a crucial step and I'm convinced Julia also saved our summer by removing conversations like these off of my plate. We were able to support all the work my son was doing with Julia and her team, but we weren't in the driver's seat and it was so much less stress on us as a family.

One more thing: there is a lot of information out there but it can be confusing, and there is only so much you can learn second-hand from friends and relatives. It's been invaluable to have a professional guide our process, answer questions, and to give you assurance that you haven't forgotten an important deadline or task!
