Two things I have to comment on. 1) My son brought in some money to buy his own candy and toy, which included a large 50 cent coin. I attempted regular checkout, and was told they didn't want to count his coins, so to use self checkout. When we went there, I noticed the big coin he had was gone. I asked what happened to it, and they said the self checkouts don't take those big of coins. I told them we would like to keep it or would like 2 quarters to replace it, and they acted like they couldn't understand me. Even though it's minuscule, he was 50 cents short when he had enough for his stuff to begin with.
2) I bought 3 rhubard roots to plant, and when I brought them home, they were completely dried out and dead, I planted anyway to see if they could be saved, but they rotted. I again decided to buy 2 more rhubard roots and a strawberry root, checked them in my car, and they to were all dead and dried out, and so I decided to return those immediately.

A lot of Filipinas and Filipinos work here, some stole some money from me a while back pretend to be the mob and tried to strong arm me into doing illegal deeds so that I have had to steal to eat. Luckily for me I always pay business back if I ever steal food. Literally kn cash, just like I did with Safeway after cleaning their whole parking lot and Walmart too.

It's not the average Walmart one might expect. There's little fresh fruit and vegetables section as well as meats and the canned and cereals and grain isles are bout the size of a regular walmart's sportings good section. The rest is what one would normally see in a Walmart. The largely philipino employees are aired with the attitude that you're not welcomed on Kodiak of the phillipines . There's a Safeway right next to Walmart has everything Walmart would have except the prices expect to pay around $200.00 for a couple brown bags worth of groceries as if chickens, cows etc can't be raised in Alaska. And that's including seafoods though Alaska is the source of much of the seafood united statesians consume. Go figure sounds like price gouging.

A nice little Walmart, smaller than your average supercenter but still pretty well stocked. They have some cool souvenir-type shirts and things. We couldn't find a couple things though, don't expect exotic ingredients.

Okay place but, milk was a couple days from expiring, Safeway has better food choices and prices. They don't sell beer. Had a hard time understanding the English of a couple employees. I was hurried by a cashier rudely which was not awesome. If you go for anything that may expire like ice cream, etc. check the dates.

I struggled to find what I needed despite it being a tiny Walmart. The bear by the subway is cool though.

The wait time was terrible. I could have used the self checkout, but I refuse because we need to have ppl interaction. Four checkouts with only one person working.

It’s Walmart, not a super store but has some fresh food items and a adequate selection of bulk dry/can goods, clothing and electronics, household goods, garden and pharmacy. The check out staff and ladies in customer service are always pleasant, the manager in sporting goods was very helpful, and those stocking and working in the isles, in my experience, are either very helpful or rude and useless, no middle ground. There is a subway just inside the entrance and just past it a small souvenir section watched over by a large stuffed bear. The shuttle stops here and the dmv shares the large parking lot. There are no power plugs for RVs, winters just aren’t cold enough.
