Been to ER twice recently. Both times seen right away. Easy n close parking. Super friendly staff. Clean facilities. Way better than any ER down the hill. No shady looking / homeless cracky types.

But their billing dept charged me when I was told medi-cal would cover all of it. Trying to figure that out. I got billed 2k when I was told would cost me nothing. I can't get a hold of anyone over the phone. Horrible customer service. Going to have to go in person today and try to figure it out. Just kind of worried. They're going to mess up my credit when I do nothing wrong. For that giant hassle, one star for sure. What a horrible company and they don't know how to do their billing which what other reviewers have complained as well. You would think that they would get it under control.

I had a good experience at the hospital but the billing department sucks.

They overcharged me and I called and left a message for the accounts manager multiple times. She never called back. The individuals working under her couldn't help.

So do I just have to go to collections? Is that really fair when I'm genuinely trying to settle the bill? Doesn't seem like it.

They would have gotten a higher rating if the aftercare wasn't so poor, but I've spent so much time trying to call them to settle the bill (yes someone is trying to pay you, just fairly), that it's been a real hassle.

Also instead of replying to this with the individuals number to call (because I've already been leaving messages for months), just connect with your staff and sort out the problem. If she's overworked, get her help! If she doesn't care, put her in a position she enjoys and find someone more suited for this one.

Hopefully you guys work things out on the backend and I can settle my bill. Weird to leave a review like this...

11/23/22 My year old was diagnosed with RSV. Admitted into the hospital. The next day my son got so extremely lethargic. When we started asking questions they didn’t even seemed concerned. Im pretty sure they got mad because I basically told them I didn’t trust their judgment and I got emotional and after that everyone seemed to have a really bad attitude with us. Charlie was extremely indecisive in their capability of taking care of our child. Short red hair Nurse Cindy specifically shut our door and whispered to his father and I saying, ā€œIf I was you, I would take my child and go.ā€ Which I was not going to be charged for a visit, I was waiting for a transfer. Cindy even said ā€œWe’ll if it’s a life or death situation you should leave now.ā€ As if they were completely incapable and incompetent of doing their job! Anyways, we eventually got them to transfer our son (To Children’s hospital of Orange County- CHOC) but before we could leave, Charlie specifically insisted that CHOC helicopter professional nurses that were coming to get our son wanted a special blood test and for some reason nurse Charlie just HAD to be the one to take some blood even though the helicopter was on the way and they obviously have WAY more experience and knowledge with CHILDREN and drawing blood from them. I didn’t want them too (I even left the room) and they strapped him down and when Charlie tried he did major damage to my child’s arm (bruising and pain when moving arm) and of course charlie didn’t get any blood and my child was completely traumatized. Charlie wouldn’t have stopped trying to draw blood if my husband didn’t tell him to stop and wait for the PROFESSIONALS. CHOC professionals used a small point and pricked his toe and squeezed some blood out so he didn’t have to be strapped down like an animal or tortured to get blood. Charlie, you really didn’t HAVE to take his blood. Your an ass for that. Maybe you just like torturing kids, you sick freak! The CHOC nurses and doctors also were very frustrated by how unorganized our child’s wires and cords were. They struggled to find which ones went where, it was a mess. (Pictures attached.) CHOC helicopter professional nurses and doctors never once strapped my child down by the way to take his blood, CHOC helicopter nurse Jeannette and sunny. Absolutely AMAZING with our child. Anyways, you can imagine how a parent would feel when there are uneducated, unprofessional, incompetent nurses/doctors doing unnecessary things to your child, you can imagine how a parent would react. It was the worst experience my child and we ever had. CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL OF ORANGE COUNTY doctors and nurses told us within one second of looking at my child that this hospital should have NEVER admitted my child and they should have transferred him to a Children’s hospital!!!

MY REVIEW IS SOLEY BASED OFF OF PHONE INTERACTION.

My experience with calling was an absolute nightmare. I work at a Medical Facility, and I called to try and verify information of a previous patient but it seems as though they all work under a different system. No one had the information I needed. If patient was there in their facility regardless of what section or level or wing they were in you would think the same info would come up. No one was able to transfer me to the correct department to verify the information I needed. There are way too many departments there. Medical records didn't have the information for the patient but is it because they're only Medical Records for the Hospital, Swing, Skilled nursing facility? Makes no sense.

I will say every person I spoke to were very nice which is why I'm not leaving a one star review. I hope they can soon get a system that will work for all departments there to give the same and correct info.

Always act like nothing is wrong, won't actually look for what's wrong. The long haired doctor guys, is so rude to females and the girls. Super nice to men though. He was telling a baby how painful it would be and the shot would be worse, essentially terrifying her, she was crying the whole time, then when a man came in and needed stitches he was so nice, numbed it with no issues. I will not be back unless I'm dieing and have no way down the mountain. I thought victor valley hospital was bad but this is ten times worse, clean yes, a few nice nurses, yet the male nurses are rude and kept saying we are not giving you pain meds I all I wanted was meds to stop throwing up. Absolutely rude and horrible bed side manner.

I have to come in at least once a year for lab work, health exams, and filling out documents. They are welcoming and genuinely try to help with all your needs and complications! I would most definitely say that they look out for one's best interest.

I came in with a terrifying sudden facial swelling / abscess. I received kind and attentive care from everyone from the front desk to the nurses to the doctor. I'm very grateful to everyone who helped tonight.

By far the BEST hospital I’ve ever been to. and I say that as someone who’s a frequent flyer at bigger ā€œflashierā€ hospitals like University of Utah and Loma Linda University. We went out on a limb and chose Mountains Community Hospital because of its good reviews and its smaller size. I find small hospitals to be more personal, intimate and focused on you as a patient. And that’s the exact experience I had! My nurse, Carmen, was amazingly diligent, attentive, and kind. She is the perfect example of what a nurse should be. She took my health history and listened to my concerns. Carmen did an amazing job placing an IV despite my difficult veins and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. Every single staff I encountered today was awesome and quick! Dr. Beaird was welcoming, really heard my complaints of pain, and he was an overall compassionate doctor who showed great interest in my unique health history. Thank you Mountains Community staff!
