I reached out to Prepped and Polished for my high school senior who agreed to tutoring for Math and English as a final effort to improve in school before applying to college. We had tried online tutoring, but my ADHD child hates online learning and it just wasn't effective for him. He needs in-person tutors suited to his humorous personality. Prepped and Polished stood out among other tutoring companies as the most knowledgeable, flexible, and easy to work with. They listened to the story of my son's school struggles and his current needs, and quickly onboarded us.

My son liked both his tutors, but after taking his first SAT, requested to change his focus from Math and English tutoring to SAT tutoring so he could improve his low scores (just over 800 combined). Prepped and Polished quickly adjusted; the same Math tutor served as the Math SAT tutor, and they quickly found an English SAT tutor. Warning us that the 6-week timeframe was likely too short to make significant progress, we proceeded anyway. My son's SAT score improved by 200 points! He broke 1000 and felt so proud that the effort had finally paid off.

His areas of improvement weren't just the SAT, however. While he was receiving the SAT tutoring, I noticed his other schoolwork improving. Homework came a bit easier and study habits improved. Now that the SAT has been over for a couple months, of his own choosing, he is continuing with Prepped and Polished for tutoring in academic subjects as needed. I'd also like to mention how professional and pleasant the staff have been. Thank you - after years of school-related frustration, my son has finally had a positive learning experience! I feel this will benefit him not only in his senior year, but beyond.

The customer service is excellent and the coaching is even better. Kari is enthusiastic and offers sound advice for every issue I bring to our sessions. She's helped me build confidence and learn strategies for managing time and tackling the daily tasks I previously felt I didn't have the time or capacity to complete. Mark was the perfect tutor for our son's SAT prep. His score significantly improved across two SATs, resulting in a competitive superscore that he felt proud to report to his top choice college. More significantly, the tutoring significantly reduced his test-taking anxiety, and the math instruction improved his confidence in his classes at school; math grades went up as well, even though that was not the focus of their work. Our son looked forward to his sessions and felt he learned a lot. Thank you for all your help!

Prepped and Polished Tutoring was an amazing experience for our son who was studying for the ISEE exam. Not only were they able to communicate clearly and effectively with our son on difficult concepts but they devised a clear strategy on how to take tests. I can't stress enough on how important it is to have a test taking strategy. I also loved how collaborative the tutors and staff were with my wife and I. Our son learned so much on how to "study and prepare" that he is asking to go back for more lessons, he absolutely loved it. He was accepted to his dream school and Prepped and Polished was key to his success.

Not only are P&P very caring and knowledgeable, they were able to get our student over a hump that multiple years of teachers, both regular and SPED, were unable to achieve on their own. The coach worked collaboratively with the school which kept everyone on the same page. That was very helpful. Everyone we had contact with at P&P was passionate about what they do and showed compassion for our student's needs. I highly recommend them.

Prepped and Polished is great, we've been bringing our kid there for almost a year. Great improvements with reading and spelling. The help and attention to individual needs is excellent. I 100% recommend, even when we had to change tutors( which was not popular with the little one) we've had a great experience. The team does an excellent job matching the needs to folks they have.
