Ah, my childhood school from over a decade ago. 2007-2013 were rocking good times and I was introduced to my first best friend who changed my life...forever. It really was a good school, however, they made/keep making the fatal mistake of expanding other K-8 schools instead of building a high school. This fight still persists, as like most school districts have a complete school system to 12th, but Valley persisted that opening another school was better. Like any Indian kid hitting fifth grade, I got roped into BASIS, but that's another chapter of hellish life.

Anyways, from what I recall 13 years ago, great cafeteria good, great staff, the teachers (I got) knew how to handle kids well, the curriculum was pretty strong, and we even got National School of the Week award as well as a Blue Ribbon (it was officially announced the year after I left, but we got the certificate in 2013, it was a school-wide party and everything). Honestly, I might be biased from having a wonderful childhood there, but I can't recall a significant thing wrong, so yea, 5 stars for a good elementary experience!

My daughter went there last year. She made it 3 months before we decided to pull her out and put her back in her previous public school. Her teacher would yell at students, belittle her for not understanding material in class and would email us non-stop over pointless stuff, yet would never communicate with us when it came to something academic related. Our daughter was very well behaved, yet would get yelled at for looking in the wrong direction or not walking between tiles in the hallway. We were very disappointed and shockingly surprised at how militaristic this school was. She became depressed and was extremely exctatic once she realized she was going back to public school, where children aren't segregated or treated like robots. She now excels and her school is very supportive. This school is definitely not for everyone. If you aren't Indian, you will have a difficult time fitting in. If you aren't willing to volunteer during school hours every month, they will threaten to kick your child out. Academically it is rated well, but if you want a normal, happy life for your child, please seek other options. There are plenty of options to choose from.

Valley Academy is a pretty good place! It teaches kids well, and the teachers help kids that struggle. I am in seventh grade, and I started in kindergarten, so I would know this. There are some aspects about that aren't the best though. The boys bathrooms are disgusting. There's pee on the floor, and wet, wadded up paper thrown on the walls. It still is a fine school, they just need to make the bathrooms better.

I have been a student here for 8 years, and I have not disapproved of any teachers teachings. It is a great school. Most of my siblings have gone through it and they are very successful people. They teach great curriculum here and I recommend it to anyone who wants there child to succeed greatly in academics.

I love this school. It's sad to see all of these every ones a winner parents posting because there child had to have a little structer and disaplin.

Valley academy is an awesome school with terrific curriculum. I enjoy the fact that my child comes home and compared to friends with public school children she is far more advanced in her learning and skills.

The teaching staff here is bar non with years of academics behind them.

Thank you valley academy and keep up the great work.

I have been at this school since 1st grade and so far i have some reasons to say its good and bad. The good things are that each teacher i've had Mrs. Baca, Mrs. Calderon, Mrs. Metes, Mrs. McMahon, Mrs. Freeman, Mr. Smith(and the rest), and Mrs. Simon(and the rest of them) are all great teachers! The school teaches well and the friends you make are good! The bad things are that the bathrooms are DISGUSTING! The girls bathroom for 6th-8th has pee or water on the floor but I think it was just the pipes leaking because it doesn't happen anymore but even my mom can agree with this fact, that the little kid restrooms smell absolutely terrible! Its over all a good school unless you block out the bathroom smell when you go in the restroom lol. There are some students who gossip and spread rumors way too much however and it kinda sucks because they can talk bad about you and that has happened with a girl in 8th grade i'm friends with and she said it was a lot of name calling and rumors that aren't true.

the teachers here are horrendous at disciplining children, i was here kindergarten through 3rd grade, and was severely bullied by a group of kids and the teachers seems to do nothing about it, when you didn't understand something, you would be belittled and yelled at, i vividly remember mr's winemiller, one time i started crying over a piece of work i didn't understand, and she said in a very angry and intimidating voice, "DONT CRY." and i was straight up yelled at for not understanding material. The spalding is just a complete joke, now that i am in my new school, i dont have to do spalding, book reports, recite poems infront of 28 kids, and i am currently THRIVING in my new school. Mr's fords was a terrible teacher during the 2020 pandemic, she got extremely lazy during her job and kids like me who are very obviously neuro-divergent, had very difficult times in her class, because she couldn't educate the students correctly through a screen, there were times where i had to walk away from that screen, go to my mother, and cry because i could not learn in that class, and if i were to raise my hand to use the bathroom, she wouldn't even SEE it, and i would be seconds away from wetting myself before she even saw my hand up, one time in library class with mrs gan, i badly needed to use the restroom, she didn't let me go to the bathroom, and i ended up wetting myself in the middle of the library, the bathrooms were disgusting, there was pee on the floor, and there was a time where kids were taking literal dumps on the floor, and i remember a time when a girl came back into library with feces on her shoes, because she had stepped in human fecal matter. this school is a terrible school, would definetely NOT reccommend to any child to even set foot in this school, unless they want human fecal matter on their mary jane shoes aswell.

This school has been a great way for me to grow up in a steady environment in these past 9 years. Yes it is a little strict but they are molding us for our future. We wont grow up in a place where kids are doing innapropiate or unnecessary things. The teachers are also very committed to there job and work hard with every child. So sad to leave this place and all its glorys

Go up
