This is my favorite program for kids. Wright Flight allows kids to learn about aeronautics and set goals, then kids get to fly a small plane as a reward! 20+ minutes of actual flight time at the middle school level. So many kids of all income backgrounds get to share the same experience! What an awesome program!!! They're a non-profit 501c3 for those that can donate!

Very rewarding program for the kids, also expanding their horizons. Not only academically but hands-on experience. Great program for kids, generous donors and very friendly volunteers and stuffs.

I would like to thank the donors for giving children such a wonderful opportunity to take flight. I'm proud to say my grandson worked hard and received 100% on his participation test and was very excited to take flight. He and his friend experienced the zero gravity activity which both excited and frightened him. When asked to go back up behind the wheel he realized he was to scared and could not go back up and so the staff denied him his t shirt in front of his friends even though I paid the $50 fee for this experience which made him sad and left him feeling like he did something wrong. It broke my heart. Isn't this for kids? I pray no other child ever experiences this disappointment.

What an amazing program! If you have the chance to get your child involved in this, do it! My son has been talking about becoming a pilot for a while so we were thrilled when his school offered this. After diligently attending virtual classes (COVID year), setting goals, and achieving those goals, my son was able to fly! After landing, he told me all about the gouges and pedals and the feelings of flying. I have no doubt this experience cemented his desire to fly for a living. He loved every second of it! From the weekly teacher to the pilot flying with him, everyone in this program is wonderful!

I had the distinct honor and privilege of being part of the Wright Flight program in middle school back in the 1990s. Even though I did get a bit airsick, it was one of the most exhilarating experiences of my life. I still have, and wear, the Wright Flight shirt I received after my time in the plane. It is so weathered and thin, I use it now as a night shirt, and every time I wear it I think of my time in the plane.
