I do not know what all the bad reviews are about. Yes the school is a little expensive but all schools are expensive. I attended AIU for 4 years and walked across the stage this year July 2023 and I got a job in 3 months making salary and great benefits. DO NOT LET THESE reviews misguide you. I am currently getting my Masters. A lot of successful people have went to AIU but everyone's journey is not the same.

Well, I was off to a good start. Trying to get my Bachelor’s in Business Administration and attending every class that came by me. Only to get stopped because I haven’t turned in certain “financial aid documentation”. I had informed my instructors and also told my student advisor what was going on. Just to keep receiving a call from my student advisor asking me why I haven’t started class, after I already informed her why. Set up to get a payment plan for my student loans and now all of sudden they send me a email at 12:30 in the morning saying I’m “withdrawn” from school.? But how can that be when I communicate with my financial aid and student advisor on a recorded line and talk to them about everything that goes on. I honestly feel they wasted my time because they received my documentation that was holding me from class and now I’m all of a sudden withdrawn from school without me knowing and I checked my online app everyday. Something must be done because it’s not right that I spent time and losing sleep doing certain classes when if I was just going to go through this and be withdrawn.. why not tell me. And then the admissions advisor and financial aid sounds like the same person.. smh I’m sorry I’m just going to go enroll with an actual university for my masters and be online. I’m over this.

I graduated from AIU Online with honors in 2007. I earned an Associate of Arts degree in Business Administration. I took out a loan of close to $25,000, all through several different lenders which was not even close to being explained to me. As of 2021, I still owe money from my original loan. During the whole 13 months I was enrolled at AIU I was making monthly payments of $100. Attending this school is by far my biggest regret in life. I was told I would have job placement and assistance finding a job after I graduated. I didn't receive either. This for-profit school gave me false hope of a career and a ton of high interest rate debt. Shame on you AIU!!!

I would not recommend this online school. I was going there since June 2021 and didn't feel like I was learning anything. I was on the dean's honor roll for the first 3 months and when I hit a downfall and became homeless with no laptop and no wifi. They had nothing in place to help me out. Other schools do so I chose to transfer . They are refusing to send my transcripts and zero out my financial aid(they have already been paid) So that I can file it with my new school.

I am a current student. I'm not having too many problems with my classes or the website, but since my Student Advisor and Financial Advvisor changed it has been a whole different experience. My last student advisor called me every week, and my newest one has only called me once or twice in the past 2 months. My last financial advisor would help me with calls to previous lenders, my new financial advisor called to tell me that I had to contact another previous lender about a letter that is needed from them. Although the new financial advisor did provide me with the contact information for the lender, he did not offer to help me with the call even after I told him that my previous advisor always helped me with those calls.
I will definitely change schools when I am ready to complete my Masters degree.

WARNING! This school will harass you, mislead you, and not be transparent with you. If you are considering this school please I advise you to consider somewhere else. These people are taking advantage of students. They will ruin your credit as well. Do not enroll into this school, I wish I would of done some research because now they are saying I owe money to this school when I never even began any classes here. The advisors will be very friendly and seem like they are advising you but they are really misleading and not being transparent. I am currently working on a lawsuit against this school so they don’t take advantage of anymore people. Like me and many other people who have been victims to the bad morality of how this school makes money. PLEASE BE AWARE!!!!
