My experience with Sylvan Learning Center was disappointing, more so on the financial side. I received a loan for a certain amount, we used maybe 1/3 but I was being billed for the entirety. On top of that, I was told I would be getting money back which never happened. Trying to get this matter resolved has been a battle. The bank says contact your learning center, and the learning center says contact the bank. At this point legal action is going to be the only way this matter will get resolved. Again! This is just my experience.

My child has been going to Sylvan for a short time, and has shown great improvement. The staff is amazing! My child is always eager to get there and she loves her instructors. They keep you informed on your child’s performance and progression frequently. You’ll never be left in the dark or not know what skills your child is mastering. I would definitely recommend Sylvan for anyone who’s struggling in school or for the student that simply wants to get ahead.

My daughter has been attending Sylvan for over a month now and I can already see a difference in her overall flow of reading. She is more confident in sounding out words and doesn’t stop an get frustrated the way she was before. I like the fact that they are in contact with their teachers to tackle struggle areas as well. I would recommend Sylvan for anyone that has a struggling student that needs that extra push !

After remote learning all year our son needed some extra confidence before he completed his state testing so we decided to check out Sylvan. It was the best decision we could have made! Aviel, the center director is so amazing and professional. He made our family feel comfortable and was great at explaining our options for our son’s program. Our son’s teach Ms. Michelle was absolutely wonderful to. While most children would dread going to additional lessons after school, my son looked forward to visiting the center and working with Ms. Michelle. We also saw a dramatic difference in his confidence and his results in testing. Sylvan creates an environment where children feel comfortable asking questions and the small group learning approach really is ideal for a great educational experience. I cannot recommend Sylvan of Carrollton enough and I know my son will carry the benefits of his time there for many days to come. If you are considering Sylvan but are not sure it will work for your child, just do it. You will be so glad you did.

My son has been going to sylvan for a while now. We started him off to help him with writing and grammar. His grade in both have shown a tremendous improvement, not to mention that I don't have to struggle anymore with him to get his writing assignments done! Sylvan has even helped him get more fluent in cursive and the improvement in his handwriting is awesome. All the teachers and staff at sylvan are always helpful, kind, and really cares about the kids. I would happily recommend sylvan to any parents with kids struggling in school!
