I have had two foster children through Lydia Home. My most recent experience has been unconscionable. They displayed no concern for the well being of this young child. She was just a name on a list to them. After having her for over a year and closely bonding with her as her psychological mother, Lydia Home gave us 2 days notice that they would be turning her over to an aunt. We didn’t get to prepare her or say goodbye and now they won’t allow us to contact her. She is not yet 3 yrs old and they took her away from the only family she has ever really known. We are devastated as I’m sure our foster daughter is too. Please! For the sake of innocent children, NEVER use Lydia Home for fostering!

Safe families is a terrible place to get help if you're in the need of getting help with your children. This place is literally designed to take your kids away from you, they are connected to dcfs and they will make false accusations. This place is made to destroy families and not bring families together. Be aware and be careful. Safe families taught me to never ask for help when I really need it. I don't know too much about Lydia home but Lydia home is associated with safe families and I will still not recommend either of them. I do not want what happened to me happen to someone else. Be very careful.
