Not only they don’t allow to ride English saddle on the trail ride, they don’t allow to feed horses, they said that I can put carrot in the feeder, why on earth I bought the experience with horses probably to engage with them, no?
whatever I am paying for here is not paying off. The only good thing is a views and nature.

We had an amazing time. Our 2 young boys had their first riding experience on the trail.

We were paired with Tammy and Sasha as guides. They couldn’t have been better! Had a great mini lesson, then the trail ride, and then helped out in the stables. Everyone had a blast.

Took my daughter for her first lesson with Olivia and she LOVED it. Olivia and Katie (another trainer) were very welcoming, personable and informative. It was apparent that they were passionate and that the horses are well cared for.

Best horse trail riding experience!! I’ve been to many different barns and am picky about which places seem to take the best care of their horses, and am so glad I came across Wedgewood! Their horses are beautiful and well taken care of. They fit myself and my friends in for a trail ride in less than 24 hours. The staff was so sweet, Susan was amazing in making sure we mounted our horses and felt comfortable. Our trail guide, Myles, was such a pleasure to spend time with and made the entire experience so fun! The trail goes into Lake County Forest Preserve & was so so beautiful. I can’t wait to come back & would highly recommend Wedgewood Stables to anyone looking for an amazing horseback riding experience!

Our trail guide was very friendly, enjoyable to talk to, and provided us with a very authentic riding experience. The horses were beautiful, as was the trail, and they were easy to get used to riding. I would come back here without a doubt in my mind!

Fantastic place!! I took two friends here for a trail ride and our guide couldn't have been more kind. The horses were awesome and great for beginners and they offered mini lessons to learn and practice before going out on the trails. A little on the more expensive side, but definitely worth it!! We are definitely coming back again.

My friend and I had really never ridden horses. Donna and Missy were the best. We learned how to groom and saddle the horses and were then able to ride them (Willy and Nickles) around the arena. Donna was so patient and encouraging. It was a beautiful day and a great experience. I will be back.

My wife and I went for a ride at Wedgwood and she’s never rode a horse before and we had a great time! Our guide Christina was nice and helpful, helping us when needed. The forest preserve was scenic and very relaxing. Great ride for a great price!
