I have never met a more unorganized customer service team coupled with city ordinances when you go through the home selling process. From getting a final city water bill, to in my opinion an unnecessary home inspection as 99% of buyers will have one performed during their buying process (if buying as-is of course). This is also a much more in depth inspection that generates a packet of findings (anyone who has bought a home will know what I mean). This is a mandatory city inspection that will run you $100 bucks plus $0.12/per square foot fee. For reference my home was approximately 1600 sq ft which added a $196 dollar charge to my "inspection" cost. ($303 after more fees to use a credit card online). Overall the process is just useless. God forbid you call customer service they just treat you like an idiot for not knowing the inner-workings of real estate property transfers (anyone reading this an expert?). Lastly, as a town if you're going to have these excessive and useless junk fees included in the sale of a home, at least make it more than easy for the seller too understand, review, and pay. Lastly, get a "CuStOmEr SeRvIcE tEaM" that is NOT made up of incompetent employees to assist the sellers, lawyers, and title companies in working to close real-estate deals.

Maybe join the 21st century? Especially when sellers are forced to deal with these steps in selling a home.

This place has the worst uneducated Customer Service. I can not ask a question without an attitude in return I can not believe they do not provide reliable information or resources most of the people who work here are the worst especially the ones hiding in the back they don’t have the time to help you or at least try they are rude cold hearted individuals acting like they work I feel so bad for us homeowners trying to get resources that they will not take the time to provide makes me want to sell my home because these so called workers are incredibly incompetent they should all be fired and start with staff that are willing and ready to help us out in time of need or a least try to direct us not scare us off .. you know who you are and your time will be up and someone will be gladly to take your place

Most, if not all, the people at city hall are some of the most inept and incompetent lot of workers I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. The employees here are the perfect representation of what West Chicago is: a complete DUMP. No wonder why this city is in shambles. I cannot believe this is where our tax dollars go. What a waste of resources. I can't wait for the day that artificial intelligence takes over this job sector because at least they’ll have some sort of intelligence. 😒 I honestly can’t wait to move out of this godforsaken toilet we call a town.

Trying to discover when city court is held but can't find it anywhere. Was there once and was not impressed with the "judge". Would like to check it out and see if he's still presiding over the kangaroo process.

Super bad customer service. I personally work with many customers too but dam they were very rude I did not even get a chance to explain my problem nor they even seem to care.
