Amazing experience. Very hands on! Jim showed me how to port the fuel to make sure their was no water , explained different parts of the plane and instruments very well. Not to mention an amazing flight around the skyline and back, Jim let me take control of the plane most of the time and even did some cool 0G nose dives for me and my friend . I would definitely recommend coming here to have a one of a kind experience!

Do not believe them when they say your flight lesson will “NEVER” be cancelled due to weather. I’ve rescheduled 4 times now after driving an hour here because they refuse to call or communicate ahead of time.

**Edit to respond: I’ve already done the ground training and it should be easily seen by your people when booking. There is zero reason why someone can’t call and tell me we can’t fly today vs waiting for me to drive an hour there. It’s inconsiderate of your customers time.

Update: I Rescheduled and they called 2 hours before to inform me that we would fly. They listened to my feedback and I greatly appreciate that. I flew with Ryan and it was a blast, I then rescheduled another lesson with Ryan!

Had a few issues with flight rescheduling. After some back and forth, we were thankfully able to book a spot for a later date. Scott helped us out, and made sure we were able to reschedule. Giftory Team (experience partner) also stayed on top of it to make sure everything is well communicated.

Looking forward to the flying experience!

First and foremost! Thank you Logan for such an amazing experience during our flight! It was so surreal, you were a great instructor, and I look forward to flying again!

For those who want to try, you should!! Just don’t be deterred by the possibility of rescheduling a few times because this experience is very weather dependent. They want you to have a great time with clear skies so you can truly appreciate the view of the Chicago skyline! It’s so worth it!

Had my first flight lesson here and had an absolute blast!! Our instructor Logan was the absolute man! Professional and informative but hilarious and fun at the same time. He truly made our experience unforgettable and I'll be requesting him and only him for every ensuing lesson. Amazing school. Amazing instructor. Amazing experience. 10/10 would recommend.

I left this school a year ago. I read reviews from other people and have to agree. This school does not provide quality training or safe flight experiences. During my flight training here, I witnessed and experienced my fair share of problems with the planes. Some of these problems were dangerous, like the engine losing power on take-off climbs. The final straw for me was on a check ride with a chief pilot. I took off, and my plane lost radios, which I was told that the chief pilot wants to hear is not an emergency, and it absolutely is. It has its own transpoder code for a reason. To keep this short, there were a series of events that led to me being told to execute a series of unsafe practices. I tried out a few schools after that and found one where I felt safe and was able to develop as a pilot. When I say develop, I mean most of my training had to be redone. To wrap this up, the curriculum is also nonexistent, instructors do not have consistent lessons, and you will spend more time learning too much that you can't absorb as a new pilot rather than learning fundamentals that will allow you to better understand these concepts later when you are ready. I am genuinely convinced that if I was licensed after staying at this school, then I would have ended up injured or died due to lack of training. You get what you pay for!

We went to Chicago Executive Flight School having received a gift certificate for Fly a Cessna though a third party service. When we arrived it took a minute for us to be greeted, it was all very informal. Our lesson involved no introduction, or virtual hands on (there did appear to be a simulator) into how to fly the actual plane but more showing us what the planning of the flight entails, weather, flight restriction areas, etc. While interesting this did not feel enough to equip us to operate an airplane when the time came to handover the controls. We were walked through the pre-flight as our pilot did it, and given headsets so got to hear the control tower chatter, and communicate with each other. We had the Northern Illinois Flight option: so our flight time including take off and landing was 30 minutes. Our booking site stated: "Maximum Participants
This experience is for one student and up to one passenger, so long as the combined weight of the student and passenger does not exceed 500 lbs." I would say this is generous, with a combined passenger weight of: 340 our pilot was nervous in our aircraft.

My son had his first flight lesson today. He loved it! Jim was great. He spent some time showing him different ways pilots track weather. Then showed him different parts of the plane. The flight itself was fun and exciting! Afterwards he emailed us the flight pattern and other aspects of the day. We will definitely go back for more lessons! My son said this was one of the best days of his life! He loved it!
