Great school, great people and 160 Academy care about there students. I recently graduated it and I I'm proud I graduated here. I would definitely recommend coming here for your CDL. The instructor are great and great to work with. Nothing, but good vibes here. Look for Donna. She can help you with options and she vary helpful. Graduated 9/14/23 from the Waukegan branch.
Great experience at 160 Driving Academy, only regret is I wish I would have done it sooner.
From Amanda in the office who gets things going on the front end ( answering questions regarding financing/grants and scheduling. Big reason I chose 160 was her diligence in making sure I had all the resources and answers I needed to move forward as well as the great reviews I seen regarding the instructors.
The instructors vary in personality types but all were professional and pushed you to succeed. From Jay (making sure all the students were where they needed to be to take and pass the test) Keith( definitely pushes you to not quit on yourself and progress), Dan ( or Coolio as I liked to call him being so chill and letting you feel comfortable at all times driving which helps you being more comfortable come test day), Joe ( another chill guy giving you input on how you drove), Dan ( very professional and articulate about what you needed to do to continue to progress), Igor ( the skills were intimidating initially but Igor was great at walking you through it and getting you up to the skills needed to pass) and Willie ( first instructor I worked with and was great at getting us going on becoming familiar with the components of the truck) Properly mounted and not damaged will be forever burned into your brain! You’ll get it if you ever went or go to 160.
P.S. If you ever do regress or fail at anything no one gives up on you, they push you to do/be your best.

If you are looking for a CDL school, this is the only place to go. For starters the amount of tuition options they have is ridiculous (in a good way!) Amanda was very knowledgeable and helped me pick the best option for me. She wasn’t pushy just gave me the pros and cons to everything which proved more than helpful. She followed up with me right after our initial appointment proving I was more than just ‘another enrollment’ she actually cared about me and the fellow students. Making sure our entire experience was awesome! My first week in classroom was great, the virtual base is perfect for own pace learning, but the live instructor helped with all of my questions and made passing my permit test easy. The yard was fun, structured, and an overall great learning experience. Safety was most definitely a top priority, as well as making sure things were done the right way. They provided a great environment for all students, and really proved this company has an awesome culture. Pedro, Cesar, and Mark made everything easy, and taught me everything I needed to know. Passing my test was easy.
Once I graduated everyone from 160 was there to guide me through finding a job, and their truckers network app was great.
160 Driving Academy was great and I would recommend to anyone looking to start a new career fast.

This is a great school with great staff members and you will leave there with a great job skill !!! I strongly recommend them to anyone interested in advancing themselves with a CDL. I recently graduated from there and I miss them already. Who says that about school?! 160 is the way to go, you should "Nike" them

I was a student at 160 driving academy in Waukegan and I love it. Amanda did a great job getting me enrolled, picking out the best tuition option, and ensuring I was walked threw all the steps. When I got to the yard the instructors were awesome. My training experience was great, instructors were patient, helpful, and friendly. I couldn’t ask for a better school and cannot recommend enough!

I would 100% recommend Academy 160 in Waukegan il, Big huge shout out to Amanda for doing what she does best, I just got my CDL 8-17-23 and still can not believe i did! Also big huge shout out to JAY, DAN, WILLIE, MARC, KEITH! These guys are 100% dedicated instructors they are going to teach you everything you need to know and to safely operate an 18 wheeler! 160 driving academy in waukegan is great. I recently graduated. The instructors and staff are very helpful. They make the entire process easy and comfortable. Everything is well paced. I highly recommend them if you’re looking into schools.
