I'll start with the good. I love this school out of all the schools in Waukegan. My son is in the special needs preschool here for speech problems and the staff has done everything possible to help him develop and get to where he needs to be. The principal knows my son by name and knows my family and has even visited his classroom a few times just to check up on his class. There are only two problems I have with McCall. The first is the administrative staff in the front office can be rude at times and is not always accurate with their knowledge on registration and just things going on. The second thing is the pto. My wife has tried to be involved and the pto is ran by three stay at home moms who want all the glory and do not want anyone helping or giving ideas except for when they need people to help. They never return emails or phone calls and never ask for volunteers for anything. Outside of these to things we love this school and will send our kids here until 6th grade. Then its off to private school.
