I am in dire need of help. Iโ€™ve been very suicidal this past week. I reached out to Iroquois mental health in desperation. They got me in in 10 minutes. The staff was friendly enough and I spoke to a lady from crisis for about 30 minutes. Upon leaving I was given paperwork to bring back for my appointment. The problem is that the only appointment that was supposedly available was not for almost a month!! Why would they make someone who is very suicidal wait for a month to get counseling? 30 minutes with them and Iโ€™m done!

Really liked my therapist until she up and left and it took me a month to find out she left. Waited almost a year to see the psychiatrist only to be told now not taking new patients. So people are supposed to just go without their medication and therapist.

My conditions are quite severe; as I say so myself. I have been in and out of psychiatrists and therapists since 1990 (age 3). Countless diagnoses, countless disappointments. I admit I can be a lot to handle, I push all buttons I can when I am having an episode.

However, this office and ALL of its staff (including the crisis line) is more than qualified and caring to help even the most severe cases.

Every time Iโ€™ve been in the office, spoken in person or on the phone, they show nothing but respect and empathy. Even in moments when a regular person would yell back, they stay calm. They even provide help in between visits! Iโ€™ve never had a facility that accepts state aid be so amazingly helpful.

32 years old and this office must have been sent from heaven; because in 24 years of being mentally ill, I have finally find doctors who genuinely want to see their patients get better.

I have been seeing both a therapist and a psychiatrist at Iroquois Mental Health Services since I moved here in 2011. I have been in therapy and on medication for decades and my transition was almost seamless. I am not disagreeing with the other reviewer, only saying that my own experience has been good.

The meadowview location is wonderful!! They are very understanding and they work with you if there is a scheduling conflict. And the counselors are the best I have seen in a long time. Krystle especially is great!!

All around terrible service. They request payment upfront, then will cancel your appointments without notice, and charge you if you miss an appointment. This place is here just to steal your money and waste your time.

The therapists are nice. But the office is staffed by the rudest, meanest people and I will never go back.
