Went here to get plates. I am from Missouri and never had to license a vehicle in Illinois. I thought that going to a more rural location would be more laid back. That couldn't have been further from the truth. The agent was off putting, denigrating and overall no help at all. She couldn't have been more rude or disrespectful. Stay away from here, I would rather drive all the way to Chicago than to have to deal with such ignorant people.

Most of the recent reviews for this place are negative for a reason. It does not matter how polite you are with these people, they are extremely arrogant and rude no matter what. They are also very discriminatory towards certain individuals. Be prepared! They get one star because 0 stars is not an option.

Every time I've been here their staff is friendly and they are usually pretty quick depending on how busy they are. This is by far the best and only DMV I go to.

Went to the Secretary of State's office in Waterloo today to renew my license and plates and take care of a registration issue from the purchase of a new vehicle. Everyone was working hard and efficiently. I interacted directly with 3 employees who were all friendly and helpful. The lines moved quick. Don't be deceived by the line around the building on the outside. They just don't let that many people inside at once. It all moved along pretty quickly. They have a separate line for just renewing a sticker, but in my opinion, it is easier to do that online or at a bank anyway.
