Horrible.
I sent my child to supplementary eduction centre to practise for the upcoming 11+ in 2024. My child has been complaining of the teachers (especially Lorraine) shouting at him and being racist to him. Even my husband is afraid of going to the centre as he complains that Loraine keeps on shouting at him. My child has not learnt anything; the only thing we have learned is that they are greedy for money.

I also sent my daughter there for extra lessons too, she would complain that during the lesson there was this teacher who would ask her to come up and sniff her perfume and talk about her children; this teacher would also start to stare at her in a “creepy” way to her the only good and sensible teacher there would be John.

Lorraine is also a very racist person. My son is black; he has made allot of complaints that Lorraine would specifically stand behind him and watch everything that he does. Another occasion, my son got 54/60 on his test yet the teachers said that was a bad mark but, when others get 30,40/60 she would say that they did a good job. My daughter complaint that there was a girl that was going to do her 11+ and her parents didn’t have that much money, Lorraine would physically abuse her and even slap her because of money, to a point that the poor girl had to leave.

PLEASE, do not take your kids here unless you would want them to cry when they come back home.

Extremely rude and unreasonable. Will not give you regular feedback. No extra help. Absolute waste of time and money! Will not focus on what exam the child is interested in appearing.

My daughter attended supplementary school ilford 5 years ago but psychological trauma was that bad ,she still remembers teachers shouting screaming intimidating her and other children in the class.I never shout at my both children but this behaviour almost damage her study abilities .my daughter is a blessed child who naturally adopt any environment to accommodate herself.
but asian community is famous for pressurising their children to go to grammar school, they overlook theirs traumatic behaviours of these children ,its safeguarding issue which still continues i noticed by reading parents view of last three months.

Racist behaviour, rude and insulting communication style. Do not use if you value your self respect and your children's future.

This is the place where:
Your child will get shouted at and abused.
Your child will lose confidence and become scared and withdrawn, often crying before attending the centre due to the continual bullying.
You will be lied to and will not have any concerns considered.
You as an adult will be abused, insulted and shouted at the owners.

Do not be fooled by the smooth words of John Parsons. His partner Lorraine Parsons is the most obnoxious, vile, evil, racist, rude individual I have ever had the misfortune of meeting.

London borough of Redbridge is currently investigating this Tuition centre on safeguarding grounds.

I have 3 children who went to this centre for a very short time before we withdrew them after being told they are not good enough for the 11+. The 10/ 11year olds were actually shouted at by Parsons as they left the centre, being told 'your not good enough, you will never amount to anything' (all ended up in the top 100 of their11+ year results) - they went on to strong Grammar schools, top Universities, and have strong careers in Dentistry, Economics and Architecture. (Yes my kids went there between 7 and 12 years ago)

This shows that the awful, awful behaviour and bad manners, the insults and the racism, the TOTAL lack of humility, understanding or customer service to fee paying parents had been going for years and years.

The centre should be shut down by the authorities, and the owners, Parsons, should be charged with safeguarding offences.

This is a great centre. I had some quality service here. My son passed the 11+ and I will be sending my youngest son here soon. I recommend this centre ?. The staff are actually quite funny and are only rude if you are rude. I have recommended so many people already.

If I could give this 0 stars I would. They kicked my son out because they said he wasn't good at English and spelling. THIS IS A TUITION CENTRE!! THE WHOLE POINT IS TO TEACH STUDENTS! Still when i looked through his notebooks, 90% of his spelling was correct and the day he was kicked out he got 100%. There were no complaints about him before and they randomly gave us a letter saying he wasn't welcome anymore. The only reason I can think of for this despicable behaviour is because we offered a cheque that day instead of cash. They did not inform us at any point that a cheque was not accepted and they cashed it in! Another student who's parents paid for grammer school tuition was told she was not doing it even though her parents had been sending her there for 2 years. They said it was "too late now to change it" so now all that money and time was wasted and the girl's potential for a non selective school was taken away. The staff (old women) are disgusting in behaviour and so condescending to parents. I feel this is partly due to racial prejudice as she was speaking to me like I was a child. Do not send your children here at all!

Very disappointing and disrespectful attitude towards students and parents!
My 9 years old daughter often complains about the rude attitude of one of the teachers project on her. We thought that perhaps that tutor is a bit strict until my husband too witness Lorraine’s appalling behaviour. My husband agreed with my daughter claiming she was in fact very rude and didn’t not in anyway support the well-being of children. The last time my daughter was going to the class, she cried saying, she was scared of her.
Of course we take the metal health and safety of our child very gravely and considering she is fearful towards someone who should look after her and help her learn is completely unacceptable. When confronting Lorraine but she just completely disregarded our opinions. Unbelievable!
The next day, Lorraine called me and told me that my daughter will no longer be allowed to continue. This lady is so unhelpful and the moment a parent sees her disrespect, instead of handling the situation, she simply kicks you out and bans you from coming again. Very poor service. Some of the reviews are similar to mine. It makes sense and I am just mad that I didn’t check them before hand. All I can say now is good riddance and thanks for nothing!

A military camp with good style but serious bad manner. I been taking my child there over a year, always found the managment utterly rude with an attitude not to accept or change. I quite like their style & materials but always been concerned about my child mental state. Their manner towards child is disgraceful and only high achievers can be happy with. I am not sure if I should recommend in general however if you think your child can coop with some pressure I believe the place may be helpful.
