I had the opportunity to learn with Alison starting in the summer of 2023, and I’m so grateful for everything she’s done to help me. As a quieter student, I sometimes find it challenging to speak up, especially when I don’t fully understand something. But Alison created such a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere in her home that I never felt pressured or uncomfortable.

In reading, I struggled with some of the texts, and Alison would ask me questions to guide my understanding. Although I often couldn’t answer quickly, she was incredibly patient and took the time to walk me through the material at my own pace. Her supportive approach made it much easier for me to grasp the concepts and feel more confident.

When it came to writing, Alison’s feedback was always constructive and clear. She provided helpful advice on how to improve my writing, pushing me to be more creative while also focusing on structure and clarity. Her encouragement helped me build confidence in my skills.

What stood out most about Alison was her kindness and patience, especially in a one-on-one setting. She made sure I felt comfortable, never rushed, and always ready to help me grow. I’m so thankful for the time I spent with her, and the lessons I learned from Alison are still with me today.

Allison with Tailored Tutoring is amazing! She worked with both of my children. She really made the sessions fun and they learned so much. We received a detailed evaluation of their current strengths and area for growth. Every week we received what they worked on during their session, their progress and what we needed to work on throughout the week. Alison has been absolutely phenomenal, and has worked wonders with my son. He had fallen behind over the last year (prior to seeing her) in reading and writing, and her expertise guided him to being caught up to his other classmates. He has a new found found love for reading, and even reads to his sister on occasion. Alison certainly gets the job done, and then some. She has blessed my children with better reading and writing habits than the school system has been able to give him, has infinitely more patience with him, and knew he could do better than he was. Without her guidance and teachings, my son would not be doing as well as he is today.
