My husband and I have attended this Church for 10 years . We have found our home here . Pastor Tom is a godly, humble , Spirit -filled and trustworthy shepherd of his flock. The inspired, inerrant, unchanging Word of God is preached and taught each Sunday. Everyone is welcome to come and be transformed by God's Word and Spirit.

I have been a Christian for about 30 years and have been to just about every different kind of church. I have been attending for about 7 years and I continue to be very impressed with the Elgin Vineyard. It is interesting to write a review of a church because as a Christian, it is not about what the church can do for us, rather, what we can do to further the perfect Kingdom of God.

I write this review because this church serves the poor, teaches biblical truth, and is diverse. I do not experience a judgmental attitude from those attending and everyone I have met is passionate about loving others.

Solid evangelical Christian church that walks the walk and not just talks the talk. Yes, there are flawed people who attend here and even volunteer & lead ministries. However, if there is ever an issue with one of them it can be taken to church leadership and it is properly dealt with.

I'd like to give 4+ stars but the person (white haired Caucasian male) running the morning breakfast for the underprivileged can be very low-key rude and disrespectful. I brought someone to the breakfast (keep in mind that I have skeletal issues, fibromyalgia, and osteoarthritis ) and needed to use the bathroom while in pain, I used the front bathroom not knowing that the clothing closet was accessed through the bathroom and someone was requesting clothing so he (white haired male ) kept knocking on the door even after I responded by explaining my situation through the door, but hearing from outside the door "you shouldn't be using this bathroom anyway next time go to the back or you won't be welcome here anymore! " not good at all!
