We are currently in our 4th season at Top Flight and I am a forever grateful for all that the coaches, teammates and families have poured into my daughter. From year one she felt constant support, whether it was coaches showing up at her high school games to cheer her on or being willing to put in time to do privates with her, they all took the time to make her feel seen and build her confidence and skill. They took chances on her that no other club would have taken when she started late with zero experience at 14. They helped shape her into a strong confident athlete and an even better human. The facilities are great compared to many other clubs we have been to and there are so many extra resources for the girls from strength and nutrition to mental health support teaching the girls to be resilient. We have also been blessed with a lot of amazing families at Top Flight that have become close friends and can’t imagine doing this journey anywhere else!

I would never recommend this club to any parent looking to sign their child up for club level volleyball. The atmosphere is downright depressing with girls bullying each other relentlessly and coaches doing nothing about it. My daughter loves playing this sport and wanted to quit so many times because of attitudes of the teenage coaches and the owner of the club. You pay travel prices for park district coaching. Actually, park district would probably be better. I have three kids in three different travel sports, I have been doing this for 10 years… I know the game. Travel sports are all drama but this place is on another level. This place is a huge money grab. They will literally offer every single kid a “spot on a national team, congrats!” But in reality, they are only in it for the money and your kid is nowhere near the level for national level play. They will literally charge you a crazy price for an equipment package with some cheap practice shirt, bag and a uniform that you don’t even keep. I’ve paid less for my kids travel baseball on an elite team.

Cindy Gritzman, the owner, is rude and off putting to deal with. The level of nepotism and arrogance is wild.

The facility itself is filthy and the parking lot is literally a death trap. I’m honestly shocked no kid has been hit yet, coming or going from practice.

I would highly recommend researching any other club in the area. There are plenty that will not leave your kid in tears on a weekly basis.

Clean facility. Bleacher seating. Aisle between the courts is very tight. Can barely fit through, if at all. Plan to be patient. Nice concession stand and clean bathrooms.

Coaches favorited players and my daughter wasn’t treated fairly. Owner is all about money and the coaches don’t care about the players performance. Don’t recommend taking your kids here. The seating is horrible and the concessions are the worst compared to other clubs. All around a bad experience.

We were here for a MIVA tournament. Here are a few things to know…
1) Not a lot of parking. Plan to park down the street and walk.
2) When there are 20 teams playing at the same time, it is LOUD! (Imagine fans screaming and non-stop whistles blowing) If you have sensitive ears (or want to protect your hearing) bring your air pods to wear.
3) Not much to eat in the area - bring snacks and water😊
4) For the massive amount of people that were there, they did a great job of keeping-up with the bathroom cleanliness.
Even though our team didn’t win, we had a fun day!

The club location in Elgin is awful. There is a lady by the name of Courtney, who is constantly harassing volleyball players, telling them not to play volleyball on ANY of the six empty courts. This is not our first issue at this facility with this same employee. I have never dealt with such a rude individual. Seeing how she treats her own employees (also children), is embarrassing.

We absolutely Love Top Flight! Our daughter started in Leagues at 10’ish years old. This year as a 12 Theta Club team they won their division at AAU Nationals in Orlando! Top Flight put together a great team of girls and parents. We’ve only had one coach that was a bit rough around the edges but that worked itself out. We’ve seen so much growth in our daughter these past 2 years. We look forward to many years at this club….

For those upset about the $10 cost for tournaments, that’s fairly standard based on what we’ve seen and had to also pay.

Great place, nicely laid out, open etc. Food was ridiculous. Stale chips, like 3 months expired, pretzels hard as a rock. I realize it's snack food etc but come on. These are basics. They did replace the items without hassle.
