My youth group has been coming to Rainbow Acres on a Mission Trip for many years! We love going and serving there. We want to be a blessing to the ranchers and staff at Rainbow Acres, but of course, they are the blessing to us! We never want to leave when we are there and we are always counting down the days we can return. It is our absolute favorite place to go and grow closer to Jesus with our mission team and with the people that live and work at Rainbow Acres. We love them all very much!

Rainbow Acres is the cream of the crop!
You will not find a better, more caring, and well-run living facility for developly disabled adults. My daughter has been there for 15 years now. She arrived at Rainbow Acres at the chronological age of 21.
The structured environment and requirement to participate to help the running of the Ranch community through joining one or more crew (Greenhouse, Barn, Facilities, Weaving, other arts & crafts, etc.) has truly helped her. Over the years she has been there, she has continued to grow and is learning to be the best version of herself possible. She is happy!
The caregivers, nurses, and other staff are truly exceptional. These folks are at Rainbow Acres as a calling, not just a job. The administration people are even more dedicated to making Rainbow Acres better every year and are always looking towards long-term goals as well.
I have seen many new Ranchers come to Rainbow Acres while my daughter has been there. My most memorable observation is that when older Ranchers arrive at Rainbow Acres, the comment I hear the most from them is that this is the first time in their lives that they have had friends. They are so happy to be there!
My recommendation to parents and other caregivers of developly disabled adults, is to place your child at Rainbow Acres sooner than later. It is a wonderful place!!

Rainbow Acres is an amazing place with amazing programs for the ranchers. One of the things that I like so much about Rainbow Acres is the dignity with which each Rancher is treated and that each one has a chance to learn new things and participate in activities that stimulate the mind and body.

Over the years, I have seen the programs continue to grow and expand, providing even more opportunities. By the end of the 4 weeks I've been there, you really do forget that the ranchers' capabilities are any different from your own. There is so much love and respect that I am forever touched by the experience. Thank you, Rainbow Acres, for all you do to enhance the lives of the ranchers. Your program and facilities are top-notch!!

One hears the expression "game changer" a lot these days. A visit to Rainbow Acres is LIFE-changing. Come and experience it. You'll like the staff and absolutely fall in love with the Ranchers. I'm so glad I happened to go to Rainbow on a "family and friends" weekend in October 10 years ago. I've been coming back ever since. If you ever are in the Camp Verde/Sedona area, you owe it to yourself to visit the ranch!

We moved from Corning, California, so our son could attend Rainbow Acres as a Day Rancher; 3 Days per week. Our son is his very best person when at Rainbow Acres. The joy he lives each day, the exciting and fulfilling classes that he attends, the friendships that he has made, all make his life better in every way. He even attends the Rainbow Acres Rancher Church Service at Middle Verde Rock Church each Sunday with many of his friends and runs the audio visual area.

In California, places like Rainbow Acres were looked down upon due to having so many special needs people in one one place. However, due to the atmosphere of empowering Ranchers to be their best persons, that Rainbow brings, the world of Rainbow Acres has more smiles per mile, hand clapping, and support within its Ranchers than I could have ever dreamed of.

Is Rainbow Acres cheap. No. Is it worth every penny. Absolutely. In our case, Rainbow Acres has an Adopt-A-Rancher program that helps with the cost each month. We hope that one day, our son will qualify for one of the few grants that will enable him to attend full-time, which are generously given by the many churches and organizations that help support this worthy cause, but until then, our hope is for our son to stay in Rainbow for the foreseeable future continuing to love his life, friends, caregivers, and support staff.

1. We appreciate as does our son the "Free Day" each month in Camp Verde where he can be on his own. Self-determination and autonomy ,plus empowerment, very much in action!
2. The opportunities for meaningful activities that include church, work, recreational/ physical both on and off the campus.
3. Health & Wellness interventions that involve both prevention and treatment as needed. Also, the cooperative spirit among the Wellness Center staff, caregivers and parents.
4. The involvement of Northern Arizona University and its influence on the enrichment of Rainbow and its programs.
5. The Moral and Spiritual values upon which Rainbow was founded. and how these are being sustained today.
6. Finally, we are impressed by the quality and increased training being given to the Caregivers who are assisting our son at Rainbow. Continuous Quality Improvement is very much apart of the culture at Rainbow these days for which we are grateful.! Eugene & Mary Dawson, Aurora, Colorado

Rainbow Acres is a gem like no other! Their mission statement is lived out every day and my daughter has finally found her people. Living at Rainbow Acres has brought joy and purpose to her life, for which I am endlessly grateful. Team Rainbow stands with my child through every challenge.
