Try Sylvan First! If you are looking for a tutoring center that will evaluate your child's needs through comprehensive testing on day 1 and tailor their program to what your child actually needs make an appointment at Sylvan! You will even get monthly progress reports on accomplished goals and skills to see your return on investment. We inquired about tutoring for studying skills for our high school senior and found out that our daughter actually needed to catch up to her grade level in reading comprehension first and then we could strengthen her studying skills once she was able to fully understand what she was reading. We have seen such an improvement in her advanced placement nursing and biology course work in just a couple of months. We have gone to numerous tutors and tutoring centers over the years and spent thousands of dollars with no real return and our daughter dreading going. She loves to go to Sylvan and we are happy to have found it, wish it was sooner!

Sylvan has been a complete blessing! As we all know Covid has caused major gaps in the learning process. My daughter hated school and learning because she was always lost but that’s expected when she missed fundamental skills needed to continue to build her knowledge due to Covid. The homeschool programs set up weren’t cutting it and unfortunately I am not cut out to be a teacher. Thankfully sylvan was there to step in and fill that gap. Carla and the rest of the staff has been absolutely amazing. They were able to evaluate where my daughter needed help and make it fun! She loves their token reward system and her outlook on school and learning has completely changed. She is now where she needs to be, her report cards were amazing all year. She even loves to read for fun and I know if it weren’t for Sylvan we would still be fighting our way through homework everyday.

My boys have been going to Sylvan now since the beginning of June ever since Covid hit. I was afraid they were going to be behind or struggle when the school year started again in September but since they have been there they have made such strides that I can confidently say they will not have any problems. The entire staff here at Sylvan is amazing I can’t get over how much patience they have with their students especially mine that both have ADHD. For any parents out there that feel their child needs something a little extra please sign them up it was the best decision I have made for my boys.

I can't say enough about how amazing Sylvan is! My 8 year old struggles with reading and anxiety. He fell a whole grade level behind during 1st grade, which destroyed his confidence. At Sylvan, he gets to work on reading skills at his own pace, as each child's program is tailored to that individual child's strengths and weaknesses. He's made more progress in a matter of months at Sylvan than he did during a whole year of school. Plus, his confidence is slowly building, as he receives repeated positive reinforcement at every session and is seeing his hard work is paying off. He loves going to Sylvan and I love their results.
