If you have ever driven to Springfield, IL, you have undoubtedly passed over Lake Springfield at some point.

While walking around Lincoln Memorial Garden, you get to view a good portion of Lake Springfield. A lot of the trails share a shoreline with the lake. So on top of a great hike, you get to view the beautiful lake.

I bet there are some beaches that provide access to swimming the lake. Just have to find them! Some day, some day….

Gorgeous view from every single side of the lake! There are so many parks nearby that look out on the lake, even playgrounds, so this is a perfect place to relax and have fun!

Beautiful lake at the Springfield town of Missouri State. The nature of the area is amazing, picturesque small neighborhoods with traditional houses and parks, beautiful lake views. Very nice spots for photos (the bridge is a very good one), fishing is also an option.
