I grew up with dance, and I am so glad my daughter doesn’t have to experience it the way I did. The school is incredibly inclusive and welcoming to all. HPSD focuses on instilling the love of dance rather than strictly nitpicking techniques. Oh they definitely learn the techniques but in an environment that is encouraging and supportive. When my 5 yo excitedly teaches me how to plie or tendu, it just makes my heart smile. I began taking the adult classes too, and they are the highlight of my week. The school puts on several performances throughout the year, and my daughter is getting so much experience performing. Just an incredible experience all around!

Hyde Park School of Dance is a wonderful school. If you are looking for a multi-cultural school with great teaching and reasonably priced, check out HPSD. The school thrives on volunteer support and there are also scholarship opportunities available.
