Extremely Unprofessional and Unreliable

I completed my 20-hour security course with this company, passed the class, and have been waiting for my certificate ever since. Despite calling numerous times and being promised updates, the owner has repeatedly blown me off. Every time I call, I get the same run-around with no real answers.

I now have a job lined up that I can’t accept because I still don’t have my certification, and I may have to pay to take the class again elsewhere just to move forward. This is incredibly frustrating, especially as someone who has a family to support. If you value your time and money, I strongly recommend finding another training provider. This experience has been nothing but a headache.

This course was very informative for getting started in the security guard business. the course itself was very easy to manage and figure out. Jim was incredibly helpful and responsive to every question or "problem" I had come to him with making the whole experience very joyful and incredibly easy, I didn't break a leg trying to figure out my next steps thanks to Jim.

Extremely unprofessional. I had problems logging in and have not received any help. Jim the man that runs the site told me it was my fault and assumed I disappeared for weeks after not calling him. He then called me back and stated he had my information and sent my information, and continued to tell me any issues were on my end. Other reviews show the site as a scam and I have to agree. I will be contacting my company and telling them to pursue another organization.

Spoke with Jim and he bragged about how he had five stars and security guard college was a good choice for me. After I paid $60 he gave me the information to log on and stated to me contact him when I have completed the test, I completed the test the same day and called he as he instructed me to. Over 3 weeks later and me leaving three messages on different days, he calls me back and stated to me it was sent, I asked what day and he could not give me the information. He stated to me it was sent and to check my SPAM and I did and nothing was there from security guard college.

If I was waiting the security certificate to get a job and Jim does not call you back, how do you explain to your future employer and all your lost wages he's preventing you to earn !!

Thank God for American Express, I explained the scam that he pulled and they reimburse me my money !!!

I paid them and then took the test with a passing score. That was 3 weeks ago. I've left a dozen messages and haven't received my records so I can apply for my PERC card. Did the owner die? Why did the take my money and disappear? Now the website is down.

Security Guard College - A Cautionary Tale

I am writing this review to inform potential customers about my deeply unsatisfactory experience with Security Guard College in Alsip, Illinois. Based on my interactions, I strongly advise against engaging with this business.
One of the most glaring issues is the unprofessionalism that permeates every aspect of this organization. From the very beginning, there was a complete lack of communication. Messages and emails went unanswered, and phone calls were rarely returned. When I did manage to get a response, it was often evasive and unhelpful. This made the entire process frustrating and time-consuming.
Another major concern is the deceptive practices regarding their services. I paid for a specific training program but did not receive the services I was promised. When I reached out to rectify the situation, I was met with resistance and confusion. On top of that, when I requested a refund for the wrong service I received, the owner, Jim, attempted to muddle the conversation, making it seem as if my concerns were nonsensical or invalid. This tactic of deflecting responsibility and confusing the customer is unacceptable.
It is clear to me that this business exploits its customers by taking their money without delivering the promised services. This kind of behavior is not only unethical but also detrimental to the reputation of any training center. The numerous positive reviews on Google do not align with the experience I and others have had, suggesting a discrepancy that potential customers should be wary of.
My experience with Security Guard College has been extremely negative. The unprofessional conduct, poor communication, misleading services, and financial exploitation are serious issues that cannot be overlooked. I strongly urge anyone considering their services to think twice and seek out more reputable and reliable training centers.

Stay away from Security Guard College. Your time and money deserve better.
