I’m in my second year of college but here’s what I have to say.

This school has many great programs that they offer. The best thing they have is the university center. They offer different majors for students who want a bachelor’s degree after they graduated with associates degrees.
It’s a great way to learn and get educated in your area without having to move to the city or out of state.

The student culture is great where there’s many different students with different backgrounds working together and learning. Different clubs are great for students who want to fit in their community.

They’ve even have Starbucks and subway with some community colleges like oakton or Elgin don’t offer.

The teachers and staff are very supportive and helpful to the students who are struggling with their school life. Tutoring is also free and offers more help than math or English.

Well that’s all I can say

Excellent college but I felt discriminated against and poorly treated by one of its employees, specifically Kim Franco, since she did not give me the opportunity to take my ESL English placement test since my first language is Spanish.

Great instructor's !!! Very happy with everything. After riding my motorcycle for a few years I understand more of what the rider safety course was teaching. Grateful for all the road rash saving advice. I would suggest any new motorcycle riders to sign up for the Harper rider safety course. Then go back and take the advanced coarse.

Really really really awful experience. To preface, I’m an average student - anywhere from C-A+.

There are plenty of other community colleges to consider that are much much much more worth your money. Considering how much I paid I didn’t get a third of the education I should have and didn’t qualify for my program. Finance department is trash, counselors are ABSOLUTE trash, some teachers are good (I know they work hard) but something about all the teachers I had seemed like they have terrible bosses and are just doing the job for a paycheck.

I actually (overall) enjoyed the experience i got out of Harper. It had great teachers so long as registered early + used ratemyprofessor. I was an AA student and actually really like the classes i took, the facilities, and such.

Now, here comes what i consider very fair critiques. When it comes to some of the teachers, i have spoken to them and have seen how many of them are underpaid and hence have a poor experience teaching and of which becomes a problem for students.

I was a covid student, taking a break year in between because it was so bad. The online classes were abhorrent during covid but made steady improvements as covid was lessened. The communication, workload, clarity and such was badly handled.

That all being said, I really did enjoy my time overall. Especial regards for professor Sheldon (very interesting film history class), professor Benshoof (amazing stats class, actually nearly cried when i finally realized that i had a teacher who made me enjoy learning about stats) and also my advisor.
