I simply cannot say enough positive things about this amazing school. Our son has been a student at SEAL Elgin for almost 4 years, and everyone we have come into contact with there has been absolutely wonderful from day one. Our son was really struggling when he started there, but he has excelled for many reasons. There are many extracurriculars that the students can earn which is a huge incentive for them to make positive choices. The staff are all very knowledgeable about how to educate, and also how to handle situations where behaviors escalate. But the most amazing and outstanding thing about the staff is their hearts and souls. They truly love and care for the kids! These people don't just have jobs there. They have vocations. They are impacting kids and entire families with what they are doing at SEAL Elgin.
I was so nervous when our son started school there. The great thing was, they met him where he was. They did not expect perfection and they did not expect him to immediately fit into their "mold". Instead they met him where he was, and helped him excell from there. Yes, there have been bumps along the way, but the staff has been supportive and encouraging not only to our son but to us as his parents as well.
A few weeks ago, we attended their winter variety show. Each class or individual was given the opportunity to share talents. Sitting there watching, I got very teary. The students who participated performed to the best of their ability. Some needed staff assistance and some performed independently. It was the amazing way that the staff met these kids where they were, in terms of their ability, that made me teary. They were helping each child excell at their level, despite their challenges. There are so many unique and beautiful children at that school. The staff understands each child's uniqueness and accepts them for who they are, and most importantly loves them! I could totally feel the love in that building! There were cheers, clapping, hugs, support, acceptance and love! It's no wonder our son and made such incredible improvements over the past 4 years at SEAL Elgin. He's loved and accepted, and he can feel it! I could go on and on, and I will sing SEAL's praises til the day I die. They are wonderful people in a wonderful school and we are eternally grateful for them. We consider them FAMILY. ❤️

DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE!!! THIS SCHOOL IS TERRIBLE, THEY BULLY THE KIDS AND AND WHEN THEY GET MAD THEY LITERALLY DRAG THEM OUT OF CLASS AND PIN THEM TO THE FLOOR UNTIL THEY CALM DOWN.
