I forgot my homework at home one day and photo copied another students work and turned it in as my own. Once approached by teachers and the administrator about plagiarism I drove 1.5 hours home and 1.5 hours back to retrieve my completed assignment to show I made a mistake and didn’t deserve to be permanently dismissed with no option of return. I appealed twice, the other student who was also dismissed for giving me her work was allowed back the following term but after 2 meetings they still denied my return. I took accountability for my actions and had character letters stating how great of a cna and future nurse I was! I got my letter 2 weeks ago but didn’t write this review until today, why you ask? Because I met a nurse who was offered to return as well after a similar situation. Have spoken to numerous graduates who said during Covid so many nurses cheated and those women are practicing today. Homework was accepted for completion and not accuracy. To permanently dismiss and discredit all the work I had already done is ridiculous. The students in class 134 were always utterly disrespectful and made for a horrendous learning environment. They made the teacher cry within the first week and me being the sweet girl I am got the teacher a nice card and gift just to later they not give grace in this situation. I’m grateful to be starting another program but I’m warning you if you’re a headstrong, independent and don’t allow teachers to talk to you crazy then this probably isn’t the school for you! I won’t act as if I didn’t learn anything but they’re very inconsistent with policies and after speaking to many people the punishment was extreme for what I did.

I don't recommend this school to my worst enemy. It's very sad you go 9 months with is why I would go to another instruction they overwork you the instructors don't have good attitude. I paid thousands of dollars to get kicked out. They need to rotate some staff there over worked and real short with people. I lost a year of pay to go to this nursing school.

I graduated from Caspn in June 2023. I appreciate the Teachers I had and Clinical Instructors for 1st, 3rd and 4th quarter (Jeff especially).I learned so much. The only negative thing I have to say, is about my Clinical experience in 2nd quarter with Krista Markovic at the Carle Bromenn site (which also happens to be my place of employment). I was turned off from the beginning from hearing that this Instructor was talking about her students to staff, before we even began. Might I add this made the school look terrible to the staff by hearing a Instructor speak like that. During our Clinicals she was very negative and even made comments that she felt my Clinical group wasn't meeting her unrealistic expectations. Caspn is a 9 month ACCELERATED program. She even went as far as to telling me I was incorrect on medications because I didn't say them how she felt they should be said. Even though I was in fact correct. She took our medication list given to us from the Clinical Coordinator Amy and edited it in the way she wanted medications to be remembered. I witness her bully students during Clinicals and talk down to them. As if she was talking to children when we are all adults. That are paying to go to school and further our education. I reached out to the Clinical Coordinator Amy via email back in January and also CC the Administrator Diane. Nobody ever replied to me about my complaints concerning this Clinical Instructor. I was honestly appalled. Because clearly the administration didn't see anything wrong with her behaviors. Any other College or University wouldnt put up with faculty mistreating students. I understand Caspn needed the positions filled but its unacceptable the way she acted. And might I add that same Clincal group Krista said wasn't meeting "her expectations". We all passed our Nursing Boards on the first attempt this past July. A Clinical Instructor like her makes the School as a whole look bad. I will never forget my experience and I will share it with everyone. Caspn please work on a system, where not only is faculty protected but students as well when it comes to being mistreated. Its a very small world in Healthcare. You never know where you will see fellow students at again. So be kind! I waited to after my Boards to share my experience. To future students...Be strong during Nursing School even if a Instructor tries to bring you down. Keep going!

I just started in February! It’s a nice program but I think they except too many students at once. Classes are too big and it’s hard to learn with all the talking and disruptions. So hopefully, me going home and still having to read over material for a second time and studying will pay off. I have until December…WISH ME LUCK!!!!

This institution exhibits clear bias against African Americans. Amy Niehaus, in particular, is deemed by many as an ineffective instructor. I cannot in good conscience recommend this school to anyone. Those who do not align with her or other staff members risk academic repercussions, whether through paid courses or internships arranged through the institution.

Don't waste your time or money. They will find a way to kick you out and keep your money, even if you are a good student! It happened to me and multiple people that I've talked to. I was kicked out for leaving a computer screen with patient information open for 30 seconds while I went to get my instructor. The computer was in a patient room, and the patient was not conscious. I received an error when I tried to scan a medication so I went to get my instructor from a room over. She informed me that I had just violated HIPPA and I would be kicked out of the program. As someone who has been in healthcare for seven years, this is an unfortunate mistake that happens daily. Both doctors and nurses forget to minimize patient charts and they rarely suffer any consequences at all. As a student, I was learning and would, as all student do, make some mistakes. This was not a reason to be dismissed from the program, but they did it anyway. Six months of hard work with no income because I was going to school 5 days a week, $12,000 in tuition/fees, and nothing to show for it. Please consider going somewhere else. Going to CASPN could be a costly mistake. Not to mention, you don't get any credits, so if they dismiss you, you are screwed with nothing to show for yourself.

I Graduated from here December 2019. All through nursing school I struggled & barely made it through , it was VERY HARD! Caspn will teach your discipline & will also teach you to be a great nurse. I thought I was going to be one of the ones to fall through the cracks and not pass the state board but I passed my NCLEX with 85 questions within a hour. Caspn PREPARED ME! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL!

This school is not easy. It will require you to study and be serious about becoming a nurse. But if you do what is expected of you, you will be successful in the medical world. I have been a nurse since 2004 thanks to Capital Area.
